Not a very good alternative if it's causing blown engines. It sure would be nice to hear what's up with Tim's car.

Do you have any customers with your kit on a CLK430? I would love to get some feedback from some of your customers.

No, I'm not sure. I was using that as an example of why it might not be an alternative. If neither Tim or HPS fills us in, we won't really know and will be left to our imagination. Mine is thinking the worst.

HPS,

how much HP does your CLK430 kit put out ??

I am hoping that your system produces just the right amount of power so traction isn't as big of an issue as with the other system.

I really hope that Tim's would provide some input on his car ...

Traction is only an issue if a Kleemann owner chooses to make it an issue. You can easily choose not to floor it from a stop. Wouldn't you rather have the power to use, rather than worrying about 0-15 mph times?

I thought the result is running hot, lean, and detonating. When will you tell us what happened to Timster's car? No one will take anything you say seriously until you answer that question... You cant avoid questions just because the answer makes your product look like garbage....honesty sells products, having customers that trust you will bring in business, i dont think anyone in here trusts you yet, because you completely avoid questions such as the one about Timster's car, which is a VERY important issue for us, we were following his car closely with his mods, we want to know what your S/C did to his engine.....

Guys, assuming what is already i believe painfully obvious about Timsters unfortunate situation, i think us MBWorld guys need to remain skeptical, and be careful what we get ourselves in to until we get some questions answered......

WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO ADDRESS THE CURRENT QUESTION REGARDING WHAT SEEMS TO BE AN APPARENT COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO YOUR SUPERCHARGER ON TIMSTER'S CLK? YOUR EFFORTS TO IGNORE EVERYONES' QUESTIONS MAKE IT SEEM MORE AND MORE THAT YOU HAVE CAUSED A PROBLEM WITH HIS CAR. I CAN'T WAIT FOR HIM TO BE ABLE TO SAY MORE, I'M SURE YOU'LL IGNORE HIS REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES AS WELL........

Guys, next time you get gas, pour a little out for Timster......

This thread is certainly side stepping the issues-

First- Did the motor in Timsters car fail- yes or no.

Second- Benefit of the doubt- many things outside the SC system can lead to a meltdown with an SC. Certainly a superior system would have safeguards to prevent such a thing. Although I would guess a EATON based system with no intercooler and unknown (to me in any event) fueling solutions has danger of problems.

Third- I guess Timster is finding out just how deep the HPS warranty is. According to my rsearch, which is extenxive and beyond the means of most members, the HPS warranty is capped at a $8K payout over the term of the waranty. This wont touch a major issue with the engine as most of you know. If this is the case isnt it intersting that is being billed as a "complete" warranty?

I am sure I will be getting plenty of "replies" to this post- bring them on.

if i had 10k to upgrade my car with a s/c tho its plenty or almost enuff to get the 'magnificient' HPS s/c depending on which price we are lookin at... the 9995 installed or 9995 plus 1500 installation or whatever the amount comes to be. i would rather wait a longer period of time and save up for a kleemann SC. two words, honesty and reliability, tho i never seen one or been in one but i dun think ppl in the forum would be retarded enuff back up strongly of the kleemann SC and such reputation is what brings businese. HPS SC on the other hand is brand new and no one knows a thing about this system, and the 'marketing person' is definitely not doing a good job on presenting this system, the lack of information provided, the uncertainty of the sc price and whatever happened to timster is all up in the air.
HPS you deserves nothing but critisim, avoiding questoins regarding timsters jsut wont cut it for us, the more you avoid this question the more interest ppl will lose in your product, and who are these two customers of yours who signed up? your brother? cousin? dad? technician? mechanic?

actually right now im kickin myself in the head, why am i bothering to respond about HPS?????? who the ****k cares?
its a Huge Pile of ****z

HPS, just get it over with and give the details on Tims car. These guys won't lay off until they get an answer.

Just look how much crap they gave Kleemann over a red wire.

Good afternoon, there is nothing wrong with Timister car as he is still driving it today. HPS has signed a top of a line high performance shop in the Bay area. The owner has had a chance to view and test drive HPS E430 supercharger system. In a short period of time - I can forward that contact information.

Second, 3 dealers on the east coast will be installing hps supercharger systems for demo car. Once again I can forward you that contact information.
HPS,
To date I have refrained from making any statements about our business transactions.
I do understand that you feel the need to defend yourself, by all means do so. But I do not appreciate you posting false statements, as noted in your statement above about our transactions. I suggest that you remove your statements about my vehicle and cease and desist all comments about our transaction until we have resolved all issues.
Regards,
Tim

Well, HPS doesn't want to explain it because it will tarnish their reputation, or lack thereof. From what I have been able to gather, Timster is unable to discuss it because of legal contraints.

I am sure we all can infer what happened to Timster's car.
