I just bought a r350 2006 and there is a indicator info on dislay cluster but its doesnt show tire pressure
1. go main dislay menu
2. with up arrow on steering wheel until you see tire pressure indicator
3. hit + and get in the menu
4. flat run tire pressure activated or reactivated but its doesn't show the pressure :S
I think its fault or some model doesn't have it..
ıf doesnt have there is no problem but if all model r350 have it then my dealer lied to me because it was CPO car and its have to be checked ..
And many more problem like shocks are look like dead tires are less then %50 auxiliary battery indacator is come on as soon as bring the from from missiouri to new york
I don't want to go back dealer lose time and return the car they remove the CPO because of after 75.000 mile the CPO can not be transferred.
If complain about the dealer to Mercedes-benz can get some benefit ..? I didn't register the car in new york yet.
Any idea will be helpful Thanks already.

Mine 08 does not show any air pressure when reset.
I believe that only Canadian model has air pressure shows in each wheel.

No, My 2010 CDN one doesn't have it. It does have indicators for each wheel that let you know when one of them has a flat, but not the actual pressures. In fact, my owner's manual seems to indicate that only the US models have it...
Both were available in 06. The true TPMS has sensors in each wheel and will indicate those pressures in the display. The other, as you have described, will only show when tires drop pressure, but not which one.
Either way you have a monitoring system in place.

All US 2006 R-class don't show tire pressure. What you have is normal.Originally Posted by mustangy

If you have TPMI (tire pressure monitor indicator) when you reset the system it will show tire pressures. MOST 2006 R's did not come with TPMI. MOST 2006 R's came with TPI (tire pressure indicators) which only indicate that the tire has experienced a sudden tire pressure decrease.
Some R500's came with them, but very, very few of the R350's have it. I believe it was a P3 option in '06.

The TPI on the hub compares each tire's rotation speed and trigger the warning based on the sudden deviation of tire rotation speed.
The TPMI mounted on the inside of the wheel reads the tire pressure and transmit wirelessly to car computer.
Good thing about TPI is you don't have to swap/buy new sensors when put on new wheels.
Bad thing is that it is hard to confirm which tire is leaking air without measuring it. Also one time I hit a big pot hole and the warning came up even the pressure was fine.

Mine have on display but its dosent show any thing tire was very low pressure but indicator didn't shows any thing on screen just its says activated or reactivated i rty 20 times nı result:S
Actually this car was a CPO but CPO can not be transfered after 75 k they just made a 500 usd discount and now they dont care if write it to Mercedes factory can i got some benefit any experience about this?
And visit workshop is white battery sign (Auxiliary Battery) any one change with oem battery ..What brand is it and how much? Thanks

I was confused about the same tire monitoring system when I bought my (used) R500. The system doesn't give a read out of actual tire pressures, at least not with the basic system, which is what you and I have. There are no special sensors in the valve stems to sense pressure. The system works by monitoring the rotational speed of the wheel, and if it changes dramatically very quickly, like when a tire is punctured, it throws a warning. A member on this forum had this happen to them when they ran over some metal on a bridge, and it gave them some warning before they felt the problem.Originally Posted by mustangy

Your system is working correctly, but may have been misunderstood by the seller. If you have the datacard for your vehicle see what it mentions in relation to tires. Mine mentions 'TIRE PRESSURE LOSS WARNER'.
Thanks but when i turn on the ignition there is no indicator when the vehicle is off? a yellow signs have to come on and when start the car its should come off.. maybe i m wrong ..
Right now i need to replace the auxiliary battery i think because of a white battery signs come on after afew seconds after start the car and says visit workshop ..

I had that same battery problem. (By the way the TPMS without the internal sensors in each wheel is Option Code 477 in the Canada version (and probably the US version too). It's resettable from the menu once you have new tires installed - you tell it that all have equal pressure - . THe aux battery is under the floor boards. You can drive with it dead for quite awhile.

I have 2006 R500 (well, practically end of 2005) and have only TPI. But it still works quite well, you don't need to have sudden pressure drop to get the warning. I have one tire that is sometimes leaking, sometimes not. It leaks air very slowly, so the warnings come on maybe every 2-3 weeks. I have checked the pressure of that tire and when the warning was just coming, pressure was about 20-25 PSI.
I think if you reset the TPI when one tire has less pressure, it may cause that you will get warning again when it has drop enough. ie. you should reset the monitor only when you have equal and correct pressure on all tires.
