So this week the wife's 2006 R350 COMAND stopped working. One morning it just didn't fire up. Is there a fuse I can check and would a simple fuse cause this? Any other ideas? It is covered under an CPO warranty but if it is just a fuse or something I would prefer to do it myself.

Thanks
Adam

I would check the fuse #F25(30AMP) for the COMMAND/DISPLAY in the rear trunk.(spare tire).

I believe that COMMAND unit also has its own fuse in the back of unit.(Unit to be removed to replace the fuse.)

This happened to our R320 and I just pulled the fuses and reset them and it did the job. The fuse were not blown. I think it must disconnect the command and allow it to reset. Worked for me.

Listing of fuses and location is in the manual.

Resetting Command Center Fuses
Command center locked up. Pull 5 #25 fuses and reset them. Now working--except CD player will not eject and driver side window will not automatically go up.

The Driver's side window auto-up seems to need to re-train itself after a couple successful up and down cycles before it will work again - mine has fixed itself a couple of times.

Rset Fuses
This is done by pulling it out and pushing it back in.

Command Center Problems
After fuses reset due to lock up everything is fine except weatherband is set to Channel 1 (not our area) and nothing will change it. Anyone have this problem??

Command Center
Are you sure you took out and #5 and #25 fuses? If so, that should reset the command center. You can call the mercedes 800# and get a technical person to help as well. They can often do things over the phone somehow. We bought our car used with no warranty but we are listed with the help center and have called a couple of times. Before the command center died, the radio would not turn off when the car was not running! They talked us through several options to get that fixed.

Hello, I have now this problem in my car (for a while now). I took the #25 off and the command worked for short while.
The car was on service and there was an error code saying button is stuck or pressed more than 120sec in a row. They reset the code but command is still stuck.

None of the buttons feels like stuck.

The question: is is easy to change the button panel(s)?

Also I could not find fuse #5, I could try resetting via that also (in addition to fuse #25.

Thanks for the help!
