Replacing my Oil Cooler line with pic

The cooler line has a leak but not that bad,(see pic with red circle) the one from the transmission to oil cooler. Do I need to drain the oil before I could replace the whole line OR can I just loosen that bolt and put right back? Share your thoughts on these.

2005 C32 4Matic - That's Not A Typo! :D
Is it leaking from the fitting, the hose or the pipe?

It will drain out when you replace it anyway. I would drain before you repair the hose to avoid a mess. You will need the replacement bass ring for the trans plug and new fluid.

Add it using the dip stick tube you will need a funnel that fits. Also the transmission will have to be around 100 deg. before you can top off.
