This is a combination I've been looking for but have never seen, and wondering if anyone here has one!

There is 1 in Illinois. Check in Carguru. It’s staggeringly beautiful. $129 ask. Only problem is it’s a Buyback. If that’s OK with you I assume it can be had for even much cheaper.Originally Posted by davepl

I do love that one, but it's got the NIGHT package which I don't care for. It's not a deal breaker entirely, but it's an issue for me. At the right price, though, it's otherwise perfect!
If there was some easy way to "undo" the NIGHT package I would, but when combined with the CARBON package I don't know if you can just change tips, spears, and intake trim somehow. Or more likely I'd just get used to the blacked out look, but it's new to me, and I like some "bling" I guess.
Any obvious solution to "it's perfect except for the NIGHT package"? Actually I'd like base wheels and comet tail wood, if I were ordering one...

Anyone want to venture a fair price for a 845 mile buyback? Maybe their $129,500 ask is it, but I feel like there's a bit more of a discount when it follows you on the title, and the 2020s are already out!

Buy backs are not as inexpensive as we would think. I believe they are exported so they still sell for pretty high numbers Originally Posted by davepl

Yes, I bet this could to Russia or China and they'd not care!
This car is built almost perfectly for me, but what other jackpots would I be in the midst of 3-4 years from now owning this car with a LEMON branded title? You have to disclose it, and it's on the Carfax, and I imagine people will still care. Can they even get financing on a lemon law car though?
As much as I'd like to save $60K off new on this one... I'd want to understand every nuance of the nonsense I'm inflicting on myself by doing so! Anyone had a LEMON car to sell used?

I flew out and drove this one this morning! The only two knocks against the car (besides the branded title) are (a) a few interior noises over larger, harsh bumps (like the Chicago roads tend to have, but Seattle not so much) and (b) some wonkiness with starting off, I guess with the new transmission. I can't describe it exactly other than "different than and a little clunkier than a torque converter".
It also tended to "plow" in wet parking lots at full turn lock, but that's likely normal.
I wish I had a better idea of the "exit plan" on this vehicle, as I'd do it in a heartbeat, I think. I know it'll be worth less due to the title, I can live with that. But I'd rather not have to private-sale it to the highest cash buyer because no one will consign it because no one will finance it!

ExploreYes you can “undo” the night package. Interestingly (to me!) I am almost done with the opposite on an S65 - I replaced all chrome with black pieces. It wasn’t n option in the US so it’s a mix of OEM black (non-US) and OEM custom paints pieces.
your options are to buy and fit OEM “bling” pieces - likely $7-8k + roughly $5k body shop cost
or could source some aftermarket parts
or could have the areas you like wrapped - this would be much cheaper - but lower quality results (still could be quite good) and could optionally choose something unique like a finish that has some pearlescent or similar effect - some of the rap materials and effects are amazing
do you have a link to this car - would like to see the interior? Personally I’m ok with a gamble - but not when it comes to transmission - especially if a dealer has already “fixed” it and still has symptoms.
