Can Anyone direct me to a link for 380se fuel distributor "firing order"

I'm finally getting around to installing the replacement fuel distributor on my 85 380SE. When I pulled the old one off many months ago....I didn't mark anything so,....now,...Im not sure if where the injector lines appear to want to go is the correct place on the fuel distributor......The car tries to start but quite a bit of mis-firing that feels like I have a couple injectors crossed.

Can anyone direct me to a page or link that shows what cylinders correspond with what location on the fuel distributor?

It changes all the time
There is no firing order on the fuel dist. The system is called CIS ( constant injection). It does not matter which line goes to which injector. You have another problem.

I'd like to send you some TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS directly from the 85' 380se Service Guide in PDF format to facilitate the diagram you received. These are specific to the repair you will perform with further & extensive info..

Enjoy,

HELLO. Is anybody awake in this thread? I know you young people are all into text messaging and all that which is one of the reasons our country is in trouble. Please, please, go back and read Brian's post. He is dealing with fuel injection and said nothing about ignition timing. He has a malfunctioning replacement fuel distributor ( not to be confused with IGNITION DISTRIBUTOR ) or another problem.

Reply To Hello

Honesty with one's self being the best policy; I gracioulsy yield to you sir! Though not in the age of the generation to which you refer I admit openly that I did in fact NOT repond to the ACTUAL ISSUE but, focused on the FIRING ORDER reference......

Thankyou for bringing to my attention that DETAIL (STILL) is more relevant than 1/2 A___ED comprehension! 21st Century Technology conditioning!! Take time & get the WHOLE story (Like We Used To Do).........

Really?..........wow! thats a surprise. so, since these are not electronically controlled injectors..........."How do it know" when to open and spray fuel into the combustion area?

Little humor there, but....I assumed that the function of the fuel distributor was to "distribute" a pressurized pulse of fuel to each injector at the correct moment it was required and that the injector in question would open at a mechanically predetermined pressure and allow the fuel to spray and atomize into the combustion chamber.

I guess its time to get that Probst Bosch manual out that I bought and put on the shelf and actually see what's in there.....

time permitting, if I EVER get this thing running right and get it sold,....I will take apart my old fuel distributor..........curious what's in there.
