Intrax Springs Installed!!!
hey guys, good news. I finally got the benz back today and the springs are absolutely fantastic. I LOVE the way the car looks now, the ride height is almost perfect and once the springs settle in it will look even better, now i just gotta get matching tires for it to look even.
Look: It looks great and dropped it about the 1.25" it said it would. I tried to go a lower pad but i already have the 12mm pad so i could only go down 4mm more so it wasn't worth a new set of pads so i just kept the same stock pads.
Ride quality: WOW, this is what i was most amazed about. To me it almost seems as if its even smoother now. I don't know if stock springs are linear rate but if they are that would make sense b/c now the suspension seems even smoother with these progressive rate springs. bumps are nothing and the car feels great and feels much more in control.
Performance: I have not had a real chance to push it to the limits yet but from what i have noticed so far the turn-in is sharper and i feel much more in control. and with stock springs the car would have a tendancy to bouce but this doesn't do that anymore. This with my Bilstein shocks was a great combination. I highly recommend

Picture Time !! :)
hey guys, well the wait is finally over, here are the pics of the dropped benz. Remember these are brand new springs so they will probably drop another quarter to half inch. Enjoy!

OMEY ALL I WAS WAITNG FOR WAS THE PICS AND YOUR OPINION ON THE RIDE QUALITY...NOW IVE SEEN EM AND HEARD IT...IM GOING WITH THE BILSTEINS AND INTRAX, NO DOUBT. IVE GOT MY 19" RIMS COMING IN LESS THAN 3 WEEKS SO I WANT THE CAR READY BEFORE THAT. IS THERE A SPECIFIC MODEL OF BILSTEINS? THE AUTO STORE HERE JUST LABELS THEM AS BILSTEIN SHOCKS WITHOUT A MODEL NO. LET ME KNOW HOMEY.
YOUR RIDE LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER NOW. THE STANCE IS MORE AGGRESSIVE AND LOOKS LIKE IT'LL HANDLE CORNERS AND SHARP TURNS WELL!
WITH THE SOUND OF YOUR CAR, IT NOW LOOKS THE PART TOO.

if you already have shocks you might as well just use them with the new springs, and eventually 20-40k from now or whenever they go bad just have them replaced now, no point in spending more money than you have to. I love the ride quality and i was very suprised at how smooth it drove today. I'm gonna keep driving it and I will give you updates as to the performance driving but honestly i really do feel like the ride is even smoother. The car rocks alot less back and forth with these springs but does not cause a harsh ride, that's the beauty of progressive rate springs, versus H&R which will seriously hurt ride quality. Thanks for the good comments guys.
btw i paid $240 for mine, $270ish after shipping, if you want to know where to get intrax's let me know, i looked for a while and that was the lowest price i could find. i hope that helps. ttyl

hey guys, after taking her for another drive my suspisions are correct, the car is just as smooth as stock springs if not smoother in certain circumstances. performance wise its awesome, car feels great in the corners and there is no longer any understeer like there used to be, turn in is very sharp and car handles amazingly well considering its size. I am very happy with the results and I will be getting lower profile tires for the fronts to help in improve the stance as well as increase grip and steering responce.

hey guys, i pushed the S32 even harder today and I have YET to push it to its limits, its gotten to the point where i will need a track to really push it that far. I am very happy with the steering responce, the performance, and the driveability of these intrax springs (with my bilstein shocks, though they are not necessary unless your shocks are almost dead). It really behaves almost like a sports car and it looks so much more aggressive, everyone has commented on the car. I cannot wait to finish my exhaust and get some dyno's... then the REAL fun will begin

SAMM, go to www.bilstein.com and once there go to the application pdf file. You only need to open the one with passenger cars. I think it is either on the 3rd or 4th page, but if you (CTRL+F) w140 then you should find it. Tells you the model numbers for both the front and the rear.
hope that helps.
