Best Way To Take Off Trunk Badge
Wax the area, and you'll be good as gold!
1. Like ViKTORiOUS said, you could heat it up for a little to loosen the glue.
2. Using dental floss will work but I wouldn't use it on my car. It is very difficult to do and takes a long time. Instead, take a small sharp knife (swiss army pocket knife is ideal) and slow pick a the emblem from the top. This will bend the emblem a little bit but thats okay if your not goign to reuse them.
3. Once the emblems are off, you need to get the glue off, DO NOT USE GOO GONE. It is a chemical and will damage your paint. Instead, use gasoline (91 octane). Think about it, you already use it on your car so its fine. After you spray gas on it, you can start picking the glue off. I would try for a few minutes and if there is still glue on your car, apply a bit more gas but this time, use a match to heat up the glue. (lighter will also do). once its heated up, start picking at it again. If your nails get tired, use the knife again. Dont press too hard but press enough to get all the glue off. GOOD LUCK
i used a blow dryer and put on some old batting cloves and just kept twisting the badge with a cloth. it eventually got loose and then i kept rubbing the hot glue till it was all most all on the towel and then i got some rubbing compound and made it purty.

Forget about the dental floss, the gas and the glove (although you may want to save that glove for those lonely nights at home!).
Step 1: Go into your toolbox
Step 2: Grab a screwdriver. Not a new flathead either, find the biggest and meanest rusty philips you can find.
Step 3: Now carve it out! Don't be shy MARCI, use some elbow grease and really dig into it.
Step 4: Dispose of that fake S65 badge in the garbage
Step 5: Rub salt into your newly made marks
Step 6: Let sit in hot, humid weather for 30 days. Don't forget to touch up with new salt periodically until the preferred reddish color appears

No, wait... I thought you meant rubbing. MARCI is good at rubbing one out.
