1995 s600 Mercedes
S600 1995 will not start...help
Parked the car few hours later wouldn't start.
It cranks but doesn't turn over it almost does at times.
Idk what to do! We can't find a obd1 anywhere!
Car has 80,000

Your description sounds typical of a camshaft position sensor. Usually you can crank the engine, but no spark to fire up the engine.

I would go to autohausaz.com, pelicanparts.com, partsgeek.com, benzpartsforless.com. BTW, autohausaz.com kind of PO'd me when I had to return an air filter that wasn't even used and came from their warehouse with the box seal broken. The warehouse guy must have opened it to check before they shipped it out. Anyway, they charged me a restock fee. I minimize dealing with them if I can. I'm sure the others charge a restock fee, but they don't ship parts with the box already opened!!!

Have you tried your other key? If the key gets out of synch the car will turnover but won't start. I have this problem with one key, it'll open and lock doors but can't start car.

Hi, you said earlier there was no spark. Now you said there is spark and it cranks, but it won't turn over? Also, based on your first message, it was running until you parked it? You've got a new fuel pump and spark, so the only thing that's missing is compression, but if it's cranking then it should be there???
