Air Suspension Question

I was looking at the front struts and I noticed that one side is bulged up while the other side is not.

Has anyone seen this and what does it mean ?

How long do I have before It breaks ?

Wow, that's interesting. Could be a faulty valve block cramming air all to one strut?

I have to agree you should get the car to a dealer immediately. If you knew you had an aneurysm you wouldn't chance it bursting. Get you car to the doctor.

It looks like there may have been a cap leak, and instead of installing a new seal kit, more compound was applied and wasn't fully set before the strut was put back into use. Hence the bubble.

All of that enter area around the valve is compound that is applied after the strut cap seal kit installed.

You are going to need the new kit put in or else you may get a rupture at the bubble and cause the strut to collapse.

make sure your new kit has enough of the compound that goes to the bottom half of the brass valve like the other side.

Funny, I drove it all the way down to San Diego and back this week and havent had time to get it to the dealer.

Was worried about it the entire time but it held together.

I will get it in and see what they say.

I don't see that as an emercency exactly.. this had to be done when the work was done so it held this long, but I wouldn't ignore it.
