I've already done something like that Also there tabs on the grille that "block" the intake also cut those out. Def noticed better pickup for sure. Also got custom piping to my AMG airbox(with K&Ns) instead of those cheap plastic ones with holes in it. Robs power.

I did research on KN's mostly people said just a louder WOT noise and 0 HP on the dyno b4 and after .

Gonna stay with the Stock Filters.

I think Mercedes OEM Product>American K&N Filter Product

Just checked mine & have those plastic tabs, going to cut them out, it must make a difference for no cost ?

lol. that is there for a reason man don't cut them off or you will end up with trash stuck on your intake tubes hhahahhahahahah it's just funny man what people do for extra HP.

If it is at no cost for extra HP, why not.
I didn't have that problem with the V-Class for over 2 yrs & did notice a lot of difference on hills, it didn't need to change down a gear, probably due to it being a smaller engine & more noticable. The filter is changed anyway.
