I wonder does anyone use not only that but any additive fuel cleaner or engine cleaner at in their S class. Doesn't mercedes sale a fuel and engine cleaner chemical. I vaguely remember them pouring something into the fuel tank of my M Class awhile back. for the last 9 years or so I just stay using good gas and oil and dont worry about it.

the best oil for our cars is Amsoil. It is mercedes benz accepted and it beat out all the other companies out there including mobil 1 0w-40 european formula. i just ordered a case and also there atf fluid.

1. Never listen to the side that sponsors the comparison especially when they win on everything.
2. Always look for comparisions that matter. Pour point and flash point I could give a sh&*t about. long term deposit build up inside my engine, how fast an oil breaks down under extreme temps, and how well my engine gets lubricate at temps like -12F and 105F are important to me.
do you see any of these tests here? BTW Anti freeze has a lower pour point that both of these oils that doesn't mean its superior
in extreme temps.
Just an observation.. I'm sure somebody has a good reason to switch to their products. They are going to have to come a little harder with the commercials before I give them the time of day.

I've heard about it and am looking into it too. I heard about it from a friend of mine who SWEARS by it, and he as 5 Mercedes: 2 Classics, an S550, and 2 ML550's. But mine is an AMG (which he doesn't have) so his word didn't get me all the way to the store. I decided to check this site to see if anyone else was looking into it. I'll check the Audi forums, maybe test it out, and let you know what I think. I'm inclined to try it out because that's the only way I'll know for sure. Plus I'm not risk averse. I already use Mobil 1 Synthetic anyway. But it'll go in the Allroad first.

There are so many oil brands out there with various claims and some followers/consumers. It is impossible for the average owner to confirm their claims so I adhere to the manufacturer's recomemndation. In the case of MB cars, it is Mobil 1. Other oils might be superior but I have no way of verifying their claim thus not worth taking a chance. Like many of you, I have used Mobil 1 in all of our cars for years with no regrets.
For gasoline, I like Shell.
