Here is my opinion...
The clear ones always remind me of cheap Altezza tail lights... I think they are rice.
The smoked one are too contrasty for a silver car. On a black car they are cool, on a silver one its too much and draws your attention away from the rest of the car.
My vote goes out to the European impact strips that have nothing there at all!

MBenzNL quoted me about $300 for the set of Euro impact strips, I was about to bite on the deal but then my **** got stolen so I had to buy the paint and paint stuff anyways, so I painted the side markers while I was at it.

my lorinser bumper has no sidemarkers thank god those things were ugly on my old amg body kit.
gondon get the clear ones they look good and buy stealth chrome bulbs so you dont see the orange bulb behind the clear.

it does have a couple great features i do love more then your e55 like more leg/arss room for bannging biaches in the back seat if a bedroom is not accessible haha

Clear here too - nothing looks as if it's missing. I use silver coated orange bulbs, so they illuminate yellow at night, but no "egg yolk" effect by day.
