I hit a racoon!
I hit a racoon!

Anyone ever hit something at 45-50mph. This huge racoon committed suicide into my front end. It took out my center section lower bumper, smashed and broke my oil cooler and ic heat exchanger, bent my ac condenser and radiator, bent down my bumper and broke my left headlight mount and pushed out left fender near headlight. Also bent my lic plate and broke mount.

i hit a curb before but never got damage that crazy .
damm that sucks for the benz

racoon well he made his choice...

German vehicles stink, will never buy again. Moved on to Toyota and BYD.
I hit a racoon twice in my 2000 BMW 750IL... once at 50-60 mph which made him bounce off and fly 4-5 feet in the air... second time, going 30 mph which took out the fog light, the racoon lived but had a really bad limp (he must have weighed 40-50 pounds).

It is at the shop, I cannot get to it over the weekend to take pics. Damn *******s started the engine with no oil in it to get it off the tow truck and park it at the body shop.

so I wouldve flipped absolute **** at them... how long did they run it for without oil? Thered still be a film left on all components and no scoring unless it ran for an extended period of time but still ridiculous especially in that huge V12. Jeeze

2 miles? You're crazy... I would not run it even for 30 seconds... turbos are also lubricated with oil so you can fry the bearings on those.
