LOL nice job buddy boy...I am sure I'll see you pushed into the ER in no time, and then I am going to have to be awaken out of bed to see another person who wasted his/her life away. Then I am going to have to be the one to spend four hours trying to pull the shards of glass out of your chest, then I have to tell all this to your grieving family.

MORAL of story...Don't try to be a tough guy on the internet, and ignore everyone's criticism. Take everyone's criticism to heart and stop risking yourself...more importantly, stop risking OTHERS. You, sir, are a complete moron for doing what you did, and you deserve punishment by the law, and deserve to be humiliated by your peers. Maybe one day, you will remember how UTTERLY stupid drinking and driving is, and you will put the keys down.

I am not going to post 50 times in a condescending manner like other posters, but, I will admit that I have seen the first-hand effects of drinking and driving, and they are not pretty. So, if not for your sake, do it for the sake of the poor old doc that has to wake up at 3 AM because you are being extricated from your mangled wreck.

Take care...

No, I'm not a kid. I'm an adult who drives responsibly, doesn't drink and drive, doesn't street race, and doesn't tolerate those who do. If you are so delicate as to get so upset about a few insults and swear words, perhaps the internet isn't for you and you would be better off at the neighborhood bridge game.

Calling people names has nothing to do with "feeling more grown up". He drove extremely drunk. That makes me angry. He claims that a few thousand dollars in suspension damage is a "nightmare". This is highly insulting to those that have lost friends due to drunk drivers. Then, he tops this off with suggesting that we "grow up". This flat out pisses me off. I was angry about this. When I get angry, I occasionally swear and call people names.

While I am at most times very proper, certain things will greatly **** me off, and drunk driving is one of them.

Again, you seem more offending by my swearing than by his driving while he was passed out drunk.
Oliver, I never thought I'd see the day we agree.

+1 on everything you've said thus far.

I wonder how those defending him would feel if perhaps they were the ones hit instead of the curb and as a result of that became vegetables? Maybe name calling doesn't help the situation, but I think it's deserved.

Not too long ago I was coming home solo from a night out with some friends and came across a horrific accident at a Fullerton intersection; the accident involving the Angel's pitcher Nick Adenhart and his friends. I drive across that same intersection daily and couldn't help but think "What if that was me coming home?", or "What if that was my brother/sister who were killed?"; a sobering experience to say the least-- at the time, I had no clue who the victims were, but I found out the shocking news the very next day.

Turns out the tool who hit Nick Adenhart had prior DUIs and still had his license. Ridiculous.

To the OP, AA isn't such a bad idea you know? I'm sorry but you, nor any other drunk driver gets ANY sympathy from me.

Oh please. Don't refer back to me. You may have the time, but you don't have the level of activity to even begin to agree with me.

Not everyone understands with politeness and assurance while your holding their hand. It's one thing to be understanding, and another to be a fool. Some people need a more... pronounced way to learn from their mistakes.

While I acknowledge the OP's acceptance of fault, it would do little to replace a loved one as a direct result of his immaturity and lack of better judgement.

I have to agree with OliverK, Chucky, Thericker, Akademiks, and some others.

I am not going to waste time slamming this guy. That well covered, what he did was totally irresponsible and very lucky he came away alive with just a 3K bill.

I do hope you realize the magnitude of what you did, I mean really. When someone is killed due to negligence you will never be the same. One of my friends, ironically back a few years ago was rushing to get his kids to school. A school bus hit him and both children were killed. It was ruled the bus fault, and he was cleared.

Do you think he is tormented with that? The what if I was driving a little slower outcome? I never ask or mention it to him or his wife, I think we know the answer.

I don't drive drunk, tipsy, sleepy, or upset. Period. That's a 2 ton+ projectile of glass, metal, and plastic.

You know, now I'm curious. Lets say he passed out, and didn't get into an accident but just slowly coasted to the shoulder.

Would this post exist?
Would he drink and drive again?

The only thing that might have caused him to learn his lesson is the damage to his vehicle. If that didn't happen, I'd guess that nothing about his actions would change.

wow, I didn't see you helping anyone. I didn't see you link the AA website or a page that gives statistics on how dangerous drunk driving is. The only help you gave the OP was to defend him from "us".

We are nuts because we insult an individual who did something unbelievably stupid? keep dreaming.

For a guy who was talking about being a gentleman and being so respectful, the bolded text certainly seems very juvenile, disrespectful, and lacking tact.

bingo!

this dope is merely bummed that he broke his dear car. There is no realization at all about how lethal his actions were, nor about the truly massive prices he could have made people pay.

Clearly the original poster is a retard, notice nowhere does he acknowledge he regrets driving drunk and won't do it again he just regrets wrecking his car, but I think trudawg, Benz5656 and zarko are even worse.

Bottom line is don't do it again EVER!

" thats what this forum is for not an AA club..

my 2 cents
These fine pieces of garbage not only excuse the original poster's behaviour but actually condone driving drunk because "everybody does it." I really hope mommy and daddy take your car keys away because you idiots should not be allowed to have a driver's license.

This post was especially classic because he was talking about you genius, not the people insulting the OP but the people defending him.

I think its time to end all of these emotionally charged posts.. It's going nowhere.

At least there is some remorse shown.. I give the OP props for that. And I am also glad that this remorse didn't come at the expense of some family's grief as it normally does, so we should all be thankful for that.

I'm not sorry at all about you or your car. You reap what you sow. Karma did you a favor this time...

Please read the whole post before saying something and tell me what was this guy(menico) fault when he simply asked time to post pics, he even offered to show the receipt of his work but he been given no time by mr. olive and later on he posted pics.

you guys want to see that how smart olive is just read following post where he was bashing other member too for nothing but then i came for his rescue and later on olive apologized to him. Haha

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...gs-2000-a.html

The other member could not able to take pics in the start and all he asked to wait but mr.psychic went on rampage and did every single thing to disrespect and judge him but later on he came with the pics and shut mr.olive mouth once and for all. Following is the address for the new post when he posted pics and then mr.olive became so nice and mallow.

Thats what the guy who was disrespected by mr.olive asked me not to argue with him by following words.

Whatever S500 did was totally wrong and unacceptible but my whole point is if you see oliver previous posts there is a pattern, you will realized sometime he goes too far to disrespect and pass his judgment on others. He is internet gangster and love to bully other members here. For example when I was new member I simply told someone that i paid this much money for my car and he started arguing with me oh there is no way that someone could pay this much money for 02 S500.I mean what the fu** was his problem that how much i paid for my car. Sometime people do get victim of price gouging and end up paying more then the car value but just based on that can you call or make other person feel like that he is liar or something.

Maybe he's just apologizing in hopes that this discussion might die down.

HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:

Call 212-870-3400.
Arrive late and leave early.
Don't talk, not even giving your name.
Don't discuss it with anyone but the judge.
Go on with your life.
Repeat this process until you can't do it anymore.
