upgraded audio system
Whats up guys,
I just got my car back from upgrading the entire system.. The Bose just wasnt doing it for me.My upgrades are:
New Pioneer Avic X910Bt double din
Jl audio component speakers all around
4 channel Hifonics zxi amplifier
2 channel Hifonics zxi amplifier
2 12" Kicker CVX subs ( the round L7's)
removed factory sub so the bass ports into car
All i can say is that it sounds incredible and I am very happy with the system..i will be posting pics soon of the installation

That's wat I wanted but there wasn't any left..all they had was 1 black one left so I had no choice..I might try to find a woodgrain cover or might just paint the ashtray black to match it

how about any errors?
now since you have changed the system,
can you controll the system by the wheel bottons? do you get any error on the dash that does not fiind cd or command or anything.
i have been thinking of doing this, but i am not sure if there will be any problem with the dash controll or if it is possible to change the volume via the wheel....etc
how is yours working?

double din installation problems
i put a double din in my 2002 s430 too, but i am having 3 problems.
1. i have to turn the key all the way,about 1 click from starting the car to get and keep the audio to work.
2. I have to turn the double din radio off manually
3. Everytime i turn up the radio too loud, the audio cuts off and i have to turn the car off and turn it back on to get back the audio..
i have a sony 4/3 channel amp and the rest was all rewired because i couldn't find a wiring harness. Any suggestions on what the problem might be. I used a generic HD double din that i got off ebay..wasn't a name brand unit. Didn't have a wiring diagram, so the person that did it freestyle it.
