Driver seat not working

I have an issue with my driver seat not moving and the heat buttons not working. I pressed memory 1 to adjust my seat. Seat went back too far (not sure why). I pressed the (E) button then tried to move the seat back to my position. None of the seat buttons would work. I press the heat button and the red light comes on but when I remove my finger if goes off. Anyone know if there is a reset? Or what may bring it back to life?

You can always disconnect and reconnect the battery or pull the fuse for the seat.

Please provide a bit more clarification, sounds like you are saying the Memory 1 and E (Ergonomic) buttons work, but heat and other buttons do not. Try it with the engine running first and key in position 2 (engine off) to see if anything works.

Sorry about that, The seat buttons stop working. According to the fuse chart I there are two fuses for the seat. I never checked the back fuse panel under the rear seat. That's were the problem was...I replaced the f 71 (25) fuse and it working again.

Glad it was as simple as a fuse.

The screen name...its a long story. Short version, Wile E. Coyote "Super Genius". If you do not know then you are too young. The 40...I turned 40 this year. Note to self, never see your doctor on your 40th birthday.

...Ummmm -

I was alluding to not checking the fuses first.

But nice background on your moniker anyway!

Hi,
I have Mercedes W220 2005 Model. My driver seat stopped working suddenly and when i click on the seat heating buttons the red light comes up and goes off when i remove my finger. I check the f 71 (25), disconnected and reconnected the battery but nothing happened. does anyone faced same problem? can programming solve this issue? how?

Is this on a W220? Or on a C300? This is a W220 Forum...
