quick question regarding bluetooth and gateway 500
He needs simply to get the Gateway 500 unit without the Dension BTA1500 Bluetooth add-on. He does not need the Dension Bluetooth.
His existing OE Bluetooth will work fine with the iPod capability provided by the Gateway 500.
If he wants to use the Dension BTA 1500 unit, he will have to give up his OE Bluetooth; perhaps that is what you were considering. But there is no need to do that, and the BTA1500 is not as easy to use as the OE Bluetooth.
Thank you so much guys. Sorry I couldn't give a quick response. I'm only on this forum during breakfast and lunch hour. I was looking into keeping my OE Bluetooth. The car came with it. I was aware that Gateway 500 also make Bluetooth for their unit. I personally didn't want to invest extra money into getting the Dension Bluetooth if it wasn't necessary. I would do that only if I lose my OE Bluetooth function. Thank you guys so much. Didn't mean to confuse everyone.

See the writeup at http://www.mbca.org/forum/how-integr...e-mb-ipod-kit; there is also one at https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-ele...mentation.html but the first link is more recent and less "evolutionary," so it may be easier to follow.
Once it's installed see https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-ele...ml#post2471051 to get started.
My iPhone 4 works fine as a music player when connected to the GW 500. Phone calls are handled by the car's BT system.
Cheers,
