Did front brakes and rotors and now the car shakes?

I did front brakes and rotors on both sides over the weekend and now the car shakes a little? I put the same rims/tires on the same side they came off of, my friend says maybe the tires need to be aligned? This really didn't make sense to me as they were fine before I did the brakes?

Help?

Thanks!

what do you mean , the car shakes? when your driving or when you step on the brake? at certain speed or all the time? more info dude. could be anything from warped rotors to tires out of balance....

It feels like the tires are shaking at 30-50mph etc. while driving. Is it possible by just putting them on a different nut then before that it would cause this? They were both put on the same side of the car, just the two front brakes/rotors were replaced. Thanks!

no ,that wouldnt do it. does the shake go away above 50, if so you probably need to have the tires speed balanced. can you tell what side the vibration is coming from? also ,the rotors are new correct? of quality brand? this shake you talk about isnt happening when you step on the brake to slow down right?

can be like stated your tires need to be balanced, also check to see if the tires are worn or if the rims are dented. make sure all the lugs are tight. your hubs may be loose, jack up the car and pull the wheel towards you, there should be no play

I had a guy look at my car today he says both outer tie-rods are no good, we lifted the car and there was a little bit of play with each wheel, maybe a half inch or so on both side, would this be the problem?

I was quoted $115 each from a few local part stores and the guy would charge me $40 labor for both, so $270 total.

But does this sound like what the problem could be or is?

Thanks!

yes, bad tie rods can do that. its just funny that it started right after you changed the rotors. let us know how it goes after the install. good luck
