My car will not start
I own a mercedes 2000 s430. I have changed the fuel filter and pump. It will only run for about 15 minutes then go dead.. It will not start again until I let it sit for a while. It turns over fine. So I know it is getting fire. It is not:smash getting fuel. I am having trouble with my alarm system. Could my alarm system be a reason the fuel stops flowing to prevent it from being stolen.

did this problem only happen after you changed the pump and filter, or was the problem there before you changed these parts?
I can almost guarantee you its the CPS. Its a very common failure item and the symptoms are exactly as you describe them, i had the same thing happen to me.

Do the basics though first. An engine needs compression, fuel and ignition. When the car dies, is there a spark on the spark plugs. No spark, probably CPS. Is there fuel pressure on the rail? No fuel, you did something wrong on the filter change (or something has failed / is failing on the fuel delivery systems).

Thanks for the help.. I have started my car waiting for it to shut off.. I will check to see if it is getting fire again after that... I did watch the video and it sounds just like mine after it goes dead.

Thanks to everyone who helped me with my car..It was the CPS.. We replaced it and my car seems to be running fine now.. Again thank you.
I would like to ask if anyone knows about the alarm system.. When I set mine it will suddenly go off all the time.. It will not stop I have to crank my car to get it to stop.. It started doing it about 3 months ago.
