Searching for wheels/rims for my s55 amg...04
Would it be better to look around. It comes with a staggered set...18x8.5 and 18x9.
If I decide to go to replica, what size would fit...could I do a 18x9.5 on backs. If anyone has pics or good ideas please feel free to IM me or post some of your pics. I'm all ears.
I'm not a wheel guy but would like a nice set that doesn't break the bank. At the moment I have the 65312 and 65313 gunmetal OEM's
Thanks again

As far as what we can get away with on our cars, I'm not 100% sure. I would imagine +/- 5 mm wouldn't pose any problems at all and depending on tire size (ie narrower) you may be able to get away with +/- 10 mm without any rubbing. That being said, you can always get a wheel with a higher offset and then use a spacer to get the correct 45-ish back spacing, for example a ET55 wheel w/ a 10 mm spacer.
If anybody has any further information or solid dimensions please chime in.
If your rim is just bent, why don't you get it repaired?
My 2 right AMG rims were bent by a pothole (also 2 tires shot with herniated sidewalls); dealer recommended replacement.
A local shop specializing in repair of these rims fixed them to perfection for $ 100.00 each (you should see their fancy computerized German equipment for this). They even weld them and repaint them.
Front tyres are 245/40/19
Rear tyres are 275/35/19
The next time i get tyres though, im going to drop a profile size down both front and back.
