W220, 2001 s-55 AMG ABC suspension is sagging when parked
So i 've had my W220 for about five years now, im the second owner!
i dont want to get rid of it, but this suspension problem is getting old!
I park my car and and about twenty minutes later is starts sagging little by little.
Its pops right up when i start it.
Does anybody out there have any answers?
please help.

you have a leak, its on of the struts, if the back goes down first then its a rear shock. and vice versa. be careful when jacking up the car the strut might split in the middle, that will tell you which one is leaking.

I just had one done and I think the strut itself was like $900 and then install

Anthony when a vehicle with abc suspension drops it can also be the valve blocks . These metal blocks have solenoids on them with hydraulic fluid passing through . Any dirt or contamination can cause leaking valve block . The solenoids have o rings which can also deteriorate over time. Theres a YouTube video on cleaning the valve and replacing o rings. Then you will see what I'm talking about . No sense in replacing struts if that's not the problem ,abc parts can be very expensive . Arnott is a great replacement probably better than oem. First be sure what the problem is be4 you start throwing parts . Goodluck , Gill

Its rare but I have seen 430's and 500's with abc. It was an option so your going to see airmatic a lot more . To be honest abc is not a bad system , there are a lot of issues with it . I think preventative maintenance is the key. Of course any system that gets old is gonna leak and have worn out hoses etc . Running the system dry is probably number one abc pump killer. Fresh fluid and filters , taking care of leaks before hoses burst will probably prolong your system .
