Besides tint windows what can we do?

I have a friend who has a 2004 S500 with an AMG sports package. He doesn't want to tint the windows, but needs something to block the sun. Anyone have suggestions for the rear side windows? Maybe a window shade or something??? Thanks.

I have heard that there's types of tint that go on clear but they block out like 70-85% of UV rays.

Sounds like your friend didn't buy the optional rear-window screens. The rear screen is standard, but he could check with the dealer for a possible retrofit.

They are a $330 option + some new panels for the retrofit. Just a thought...

The tint your looking for is called HuperOptik. He can apply it to the whole car, including winshield and reduce like 90% of the suns rays and heat. It's actually a clear tint made out of ceramic material, a little expensive but works well. I actually have it on my winshield

Huper Optik has several tints, including the clear one you're talking about and ceramic ones that cut out differing amounts of light.

OP, when did you want to block sunlight? Car parked or car in motion?

If you can't implode the sun :v
I saw these affordable, adjustable horiz. blinds on ebay a while back, made in China, probably a little clanky, though, not sure, might need an AMG valance overhead to complete

Yes, since these blinds are made from non-renewable 1000 yr. old bonsai forests, they will accept any MB exterior colormatch painting :p

The clear tint is called Vkool not huper optik. They are the parent company I think.

I don't think so, although you could be right. But both V-kool and HO make tints, regardless.
