Airmatic visit workshop after replacing Abs speed sensors on the front

I replaced both my speed sensors on the front the driver side was easy. I struggled with the passenger side. I unplugged the height sensor and the one going to the air cylinder to get better access. I fought with the abs wire until I realized it had a key on it 🤦🏽‍♂️ holding them in place. I finished the job plugged everything back up and now my Airmatic visit workshop error shows. The system still works though so I don’t understand what is going on. It was fine before then.

Is the error "STORED" or "CURRENT AND STORED"?

It is current. I had unplugged the battery for 30 seconds to reset the ecu. The check engine light turned off but the bas abs esp and airmatic was still on. The check engine light came back on after a few cycles. The engine code is P0500-Speed Sensor A

"One possibility is a poor connection at one or both of the harness connectors at the front wheelwell. The two little plugs at each of those connectors are notoriously difficult to insert properly. Make sure that the spring wire clip is attached correctly, hold the plugs tightly together and firmly insert."

no idea about the airmatic or the abs speed sensors (I would use my scanner to look at those modules/systems individually, check values, tests, resets ect)

does the EPS go away when you turn the wheel lock to lock? happens to every benz when you disconnect battery

Well took your advice and it was not plugged all the way lol the “Airmatic visit workshop” disappeared but my abs bas and esp still on and I tried the steering wheel reset again to no avail 😫

others can chime in, I am not an expert more like a first responder

whenever I get ABS messages, it has to do with the reluctor rings on the axles, right?

do you have a scanner to see if each wheels axle abs sensor is picking up a signal?

I use my foxwell scanner to diagnosis and then tell mechanic what to fix lol

You really need to get the car scanned with SDS. Get an SDS system and it'll tell you whats wrong

dont be like me an order a bmw software one thinking I was getting a nice deal, and then had to pay 79.99 for the mb download file to make my own sd card for the scanner. so buy the one already loaded with MB software/version

I dont know of any other readers because I dont have any, I guarantee you there are better ones for more money
