Dealer just told me $100 for the dust, and $295 for the charcoal !!!!! No thanks, I'll do my own.
Can somebody please post part numbers for the dust filter and the charcoal filter? I'll buy online from a reputable mb parts dealer, than you very much.
I found a diagram on removal procedure for the S and E class for the cabin dust filter. It shows removal of the glove box (approx 6 screws, connectors, etc.) and I think I see a total of 3 filter elements in the diagram. 1 vertical and 2 horizontal side by side.

and purchased "Bosch" brand cabin filters kit for US$17.54, and the "Mann" brand activated charcoal cabin filters kit for $108.67.
How a dealer can feel comfortable quoting almost 4X the internet price is beyond my ability to comprehend.
Also bought some Mann intake air filters (set of 2) for $37.17. Have been looking for these for a while at PepBoys and Autozone but haven't ever found them in stock. Hope my engine likes the extra air for the summer season.
