Your opinions please...
Here Goes....
Is an S600 Worth the Premium over a FULLY and I mean Fully loaded S500?
and if you had to comapre the S600 to a Rolls would that be an honest comparison?
and between the two cars what would you go for?

You asked for personal opinions ... so here goes mine:
Not a Rolls fan at any price. I think their just plain ugly (but I'm sure yours will look nice
).I don't know if I could justify the price of the 600 over a 'fully' loaded 500 ... $/HP isn't that attractive.
Get a relatively well loaded S500, and a new SL500 ... and still be less than a Rolls ... wait a minute, this wasn't one of the choices you asked for ... sorry.
What about a loaded S55? Again, not one of my choices ... sorry.
Load up the 500 ... and be done with it. IMHO.
BTW: love to see a pic of that 3001 S500 you have (see your sig)
What the heck ... get the Rolls ... you only live once ... and beauty is in the eye of the beholder ... and who cares what I think anyway
Enjoy!
Thats what I have been going through. i dont know what to do. I am happy with my S500, has everything in it and I have the SL 500 coming....damn!
Sorry about the signature...meant to say 2001 :-)
I guess I have to wait and see...Since BMW is going to come out with a new Rolls, it might be worth a look.
The S600 seems much better than a Rolls --- anyway I have a year to decide.

All the opinions in world aren't going to do anything for you ... until you drive ALL and compare ... its a subjective thing.
I actually loved how I felf sitting in the 740i-Sport I looked at prior to test-driving my Beast, and thought the Ergonomics were better in the BMW. But one drive in the E55 AMG ... and I was sold.
Good luck man ... keep us in the loop!
The ABC system is killer and from the date you would get an S600, you will be getting the new V12 with well over 400HP......the V12 is what makes this car beyond peer.
How many times do you go around in life...is what you have to ask yourself.
Now, is it worth the premium over an S500 fully loaded? Probably not in actual "stuff." On the other hand, you only live once. If you're considering it that means you can afford it. If you can afford it and want it, get it. No one, on his deathbed ever lamented getting something that pleased him.
You'll never regret going first class.
I'll relate a story, already told in my newsletter. My ML55 came in September 20th. We hadn't sold a car since Sept. 10th. I didn't know if we'd ever recover from September 11th. As it was the purchase was more than marginally over my budget. If it weren't for book sales I'd be driving a C230K.
But, being a combat veteran living on borrowed time since 1969, I knew what most of us are just waking up to. Tomorrow could never come, or it could come with a bang. I gritted my teeth and signed my life away.
In no way is an ML55 worth the premium over a ML500--until you've owned one. I haven't owned a S600, but I'll bet owners say the same thing. I find my not inconsiderable descriptive talents inadequate for explaining why a ML55 is enough better than a ML500 to justify the price difference. But in my heart I know exactly why. It's the best there is.
Again, you'll never regret going first class.

My goodness! I actually said something someone agreed with. I think it's time to leave the forum for the day. Let's see, 30 odd posts, 1 agreement... hmmm....
CL600 has a premium price tag (for me), but I think the car worth every penny.
