loving the power, and those muscular fenders. At first glance however I'm not sure how I feel about that front bumper. For some reason the AMG aero seems a bit "too" sporty for the lines of this car, or maybe I'm

The AMG sport pkg available for S550 (and S350?), however, is much better looking. But I guess MB wants to make a distinction between a "real" AMG and one with just exterior mods.

The rear of the 07 S-Class is just not growing on me. Looks too much like a Maybach and that sounds like me driving my own limo around .. tacky.

No one noticed the new S65 has paddle F1 style shifters!
thats new for the for the AMG cars.
That front spoiler was pulled directly from the SL65!
(expect those paddles on the E63 and CLS63 as well)
I think the S65 could have used a better more sporty steering wheel.

Yeah that one looks alot cleaner to me. From the preliminary buzz, I think the Sclass is going to re-claim its throne! The current 7series kind of eclipsed it with the "wow factor" (crazy styling in 02, iDRIVE, 22" wheel feasibility, etc)
This is going to be "veddy veddy interesting!"

I think the 221 with the kleeman kit on it is the sweetest version out right now. I dont really like how benz copied the bmw interior, but heck everyone is doing it these days. I also dont like how the drivers display runs all the way over to the navigation screen without any partition. Other than that, I love the car. And this is a person who has sworn not to buy a mercedes. This new s-class may have changed my mind. The rear end awesome, the sportiest rear end ever on a big luxosport. Not having actually driven one I can say that from a distance shes a beauty. Just hope its not a "looks good from afar, but far from good" type of thing.
