"Race-Timer" new feature.
"Allows the driver to calculate laptimes". Stores fastest lap, laptime, average speed, lap distance -- all recallable through function buttons on steering wheel.
I think it is on more models than just the S65....

'07 S550, '03 FXDWG
I just saw one this morning on the "ready for pick-up" floor at my local dealer. Black. It was gorgeous.
Interesting to note the little differences... no only were the gauges and gauge font different, but the analog clock had a BLACK face. Still had plain jane AMG wheels, tho.
The sticker? $191k. Too bad it only got 13 mpg, or else I'd have traded in mine on the spot.

The S550 only gets an extra mile per gallon so it shouldn't be an issue. Think about all the additional power that will be available to you.

Very true, but the tank holds close to 24 gallons. Unless someone enjoys riding around on fumes, it shouldn't be to much of a concern.
I have had modified muscle cars that require either blue CAM2 or VP c14 which can run anywhere from $6-$8 a gallon while only getting 5-6 mpg yet that never prevented me from driving.
Point is if it's your proud and joy, a few less mpg or having to pay more for premium fuel it should not be a factor for anyone enjoying their car especially an S65 at 190k.
