2008 S 550 - Majestic Black Metallic!!!
Hello Guys and Gals,
After months of ordering (June) and anticipation, I finally took delivery on my brand spanking new S Class that I had custom ordered from Germany:
New Majestic Black Metallic paint
Savannah Cashmere interior
AMG Sport Package
Premium II includes Keyless Go, Parktronic and Elec Trunk Closer
Panorama Roof
Wood Leather Steering Wheel
IPOD Connection
BlueTooth Module
The color shines like a deep midnight very dark blue/black with gold hues...very Bentley and Rolls Royce Like...I was done with flat black and wanted change and this Benz delivers in spades...pic soon

Really impresing color! Is it a designo color or just one of the metalic? I`m waiting for my new s550 designo that should be done in late april

Majestic Black is a brand new color that Mercedes has developed for 2008. Its not designo. It can be custom ordered on S550 and S600 as per MBUSA website. And yes its 2 month additional to get this color as I ordered end of May early June and just got the car.

Congrats on the car! The color contrast is beautiful in my opinion. If i am not mistaking, magestic black is black opal metallic. MB just changed the name for some reason. I looked at both colors and they look the same. Please correct me if im wrong. Thank!

They tell me its a new color close to Opal....I ordered it sight unseen...and couldnt be happier with the results.

Congrats, it really is stunning. It is the first Majestic Black S-Class I've seen.
In the dealer ordering guide it describes Majestic Black as a darker more black, Black Opal. It is a different paint code, so it definately is a different color.

congrats. Looks great. Saw a majestic black on my dealers lot. Have to say pictures dont to the colour justice. Have to see it in person to see how rich it is. Almost a darker version of the very dark blue that was popular on the s in the 80's

You said it and I couldnt agree more. A lot of people missed out on ordering it due to the delayed availability, my dealer even called to switch me to Obsidian Black...but I'm glad I waited for Mr. Majestic!

I just found this forum... I'm in the DC area. Bought my 2008 s550 in August 07. Gawd I love the car!!! I wanted it Black but they gave me a deal on anderite grey so I settled for that. I'm lovin the photos on this thread.
