Squeaky Brakes
happy holidays

One should use breaks to make the heat up well (not to glow red) and it would be good to "dry" the discs before parking at rain.
Next thing is this copper grease or similar at the right parts of the pads (of course this stuff should not reach the face of the pads and the stuff should handle high temperatures.
My W221 acted a bit, only when first reversing after the car had been parked at work and braking the first time. Using a bit more brake force makes it disappear and I have not heard it even if I have not applied the paste.
The W211s I've had both did that but the copper stuff fixed it.

As an experiment after washing my car, I power washed the brakes, and watched the brake dust stream out of just every about every crack, including the rotors. So much so that the brake dust left an imprint in my driveway for weeks on end...
It goes without saying, that I didn't have a single squeak until the brake dust began building again.
It's real plain and simple... The German car manufacturers use pads that give off an excessive amount of brake dust, -- Take a look at alot of German automobiles where they don't receive a frequent cleaning regime, and you will see the nice alloy wheels caked with brake dust-- Something you just don't see on Japanese vehicles.
The only way to fix the squeak is to clean the brakes/rotors using pressurized air or water, or to switch to a different set of pads .

Have never had an MB/AMG w/squeaky brakes (amongst dozens of new 550/600/63/65, etc over past ~10yrs)
Have had ?two of ?six new Porsche 996TurboS and 997Turbos w/squeaky (ceramic) brakes (one for entire 3K mis I had it; other started only after 12K mis; traded-in by ~15K mis)
Have had several new Ferraris w/ceramic brakes w/no issues w/squeaking
Often issue is prompted w/cars used heavily in low-speed driving; one solution is to do a few aggressive 80-0MPH decelerations on empty fwys to "cleanse" brakes
That said, my sense is best techs at best AMG/F/P dealers really don't understand why certain high-powered brakes have occasional squeaking...and others have no issues at all....
IMO, would rather have a high-powered braking system that works well in both dry/wet, w/excellent pedal feel, than any of the laughable brakes on cars like BMW, Lexus, Audi, Lambo, etc....but to each his own
