TUTORIAL: how to get drls to work on 07-09 models
As Jadeetah suggested to give step-by-step instructions oh how to get drls to work:
Step 1: get 2 50watt 6ohm resistors (8-10$ a piece on ebay)
Step 2: cut connectors from wire that connects to stock fog-lamps. There will be two small wires red and black(ground)
Step 3: (optional) get flux fom radioshack and apply a litle bit on each end of the wire, and using soldering iron tin them
Step 4: repeat "step 2" but with connectors on led drls. Repeat optional "step 3"
Step 5: twist together Red wire from fog ligth to red wire on the drl. Twist together ground wires.
Step 6: flux and tin each end of the wire from resistor
Step 7: twist one wire from one side of resistor to already twisted ground wires. Then apply some solder to them to avoid bad connection.
Step 8: twist second wire from another side of resistor to already twisted red wires. Apply some solder
Step 9: use either wire tubing or electrical tape or hot glue on connections, to isolate them from touching each other, dirt, water etc
Step 10. Resistors get pretty hot, so to avoid damages to other parts of the vehicle and to cool it down, mount it to the metal fender holder thats located by the side marker area underneath the fender, using either bolts or metal clips.
Step 11. Get some Cold beer and enjoy your drls in action!!!
