s65 AMG exhaust retrofitt
hi, pleas can anyone tell from the picture below if this is an s65 amg exhaust? it is deffinitly from w221 and I can buy it, but the seller doesn't know from what car it was deinstalled

MB S550
The exhaust tips look nothing like from an S-Class, never mind an AMG. The exhaust tips are part of the muffler and are chrome, the S65 having the tips connected while the S63 had separate exhaust tips, but were lined up.

15 MB Sprinter, 14 MB S550, 08 Smart Fortwo, 04 Dodge Sprinter, 87 MB 190E 2.3-16
Had S65 mufflers prior to S63 mufflers. Neither had vacuum operated valve and both outlets were separated by approx. 1.5 to 2 inches.
Both sets of mufflers bodies looked the same other than the tips. Almost looked like the S65 tips could slide onto the S63 mufflers.
You can tell if for S63 or S65 if inlet diameter is approx. 2-5/8" to 2-3/4" in. All others approx. 2-1/4" to 2-3/8" inlet diameter.
Weird how that part number does not come up on EPC.
I suspect those are for the facelifted S550 due to the inlets on the tips are somewhat oval.

Unearthing this thread, not on the bucket list for the S350 but someone nearby has a S65 exhaust (mfd late 2011) for sale in as-new condition from the resonator to the tips. The challenge appears to be twofold:
1- finding the appropriate bumper and diffuser
2- ensuring that the fit doesn't require cutting/welding pipes.
For the first bit, as this is a pre-facelift and wanting to stick to that era, not sure if the facelift exhaust changed tips will fit? check out @Mike5215 's post from 2015
