Fuel Pressure Sensor on S600

Just bought a replacement OEM part, because it says it is faulty. Part number 1635422818. Does anybody know where this is located? Is it behind the seat (accessed from the trunk), or is it under the seat? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

PS. Its number 8 in the diagram

Had a dig through WIS and is does not show any procedures related to the tank pressure sensor for any of the W221 models. WIS has everything but where the sensor is or how to get to it.

Had a look on ebay USA and it looks like the sensor is up near the fuel filler tube.

I have right rear tub out of my car at the moment but it's a euro spec car so does not have anything there, the sensor seems to be a USA only emissions thing.

Hope this helps, Cheers.

I think we are missing the point here. It's the Tank pressure sensor and not the pressure reg on the fuel carrier assembly.

Cheers.

Hey Guys!

Thanks for the help!

I tackled it this morning, and to update it is on the right rear wheel well. The wheel has to be removed, then the fender liner, and at the top of the wheel well you will see it. It just unclips and is easy to remove and replace.

I looked around the forums for days, and just decided to find it on my own. I ended up removing rear seats and all the trunk liner, then finally decided to move to the outside wheel well.

Hope this saves somebody some time in the future!

Still showing the same issue again... P0450... Under SDS it shows the following:

201C B4/3 (Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor), Electrical Fault (P0450, P0451, P0452, P0453)

Any ideas?

Yes, I believe I ended up cleaning the charcoal canister and it went away. Instructions can be found on here. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much! I will follow your instructions and change the tank pressure sensor too and while at it clean the canister

BTW very informative video on how the tank pressure sensor works and how to troubleshoot it here:
