Have it dropped off at the dealership. I'm sure they'll know how to get it off the truck. They may have some special tools to assist in the process.

Though they would of course charge me a hefty fee.
I don't want to show up there with a big rig and a junked Sclass.

You might want to call the service department at your local dealer tomorrow to see how they get a car into neutral that has no key or a dead battery. Or you could drop it at your comrade's body shop and perhaps they can get it off with a cherry picker.

Hey bud good luck! Maybe you'll be able to do it on the cheap and be happy with your purchase. If not oh well it's only money and you just start over again.
It's painfully annoying to hear alot of these replies especially from the know it alls.

Just saw the car, it looks in great condition! Engine looks maintained, fluids smell/look good. The exterior looks good. Interior is well cared for. No forklift damage, but its still has once more on the forklift.
The Aux battery still works. Tires are full and have good tread on them.
No Airmatic issues present.
The manuals are all there, including the service center the last owner took it to. This way I can ask for the service history. I have the name, address and license plate of the last owner. Sounds odd, but maybe I'll call the owner and ask how the accident happened. He was a police officer, I'm assuming, because I found his "port authority" entrance card.
The only thing Damage(besides the 1/4 panels), that I see are left tail light, Rear Bumper, and Rear reenforcement. I inspected it from below and do not see any damage to the trunk. Boot lid is not damaged.
Seems like a mallet job to me.
What do you guys think? Alx, What do you think? Your the master mechanic here.

I hope it's not as bad as I suspect it is. But I'd be considering my next move if I were you....such as selling it outright or parting it out. And consider any potential monetary losses a learning experience.

Not sure why the front of the motor cover has an oil residue, that sticks out to me. And I would definitely call the previous owner and very politely ask about service history and repairs. The accident is important to understand but service history and major repairs are almost more important to understand. That would tell you of any major gotchas. They might say, "transmission was going out" before the accident, or they could say, "we just replaced the transmission." Before you do anything I would make sure it runs and drives and hook it to a scan tool and make sure it is flawless mechanically before spending any more money on it.

The exhaust might have been pushed through to the front or bent up. Actually it looks like it has. If car was in park or in reverse and got hit as hard as I think it was maybe the transmission got wrecked.

Naslund, I love a filthy car. Then I can spend time making it look to its full potential. Going into every nook and cranny to make it shine.
Wheres mike? I'd like his adjustment expertise.

ouch. that rear quarter is in worse shape than I originally thought
I'm also confused as to how they key went missing. Auction houses always zip tie the keys to the steering column. The zip tie is there in this case... where is they key?
