Unless I missed it, I don't see the model year in your post? Honestly that's a LOT of money for that car. For that kind of money I would need a clean title, no current problems, etc. The unusual combination of options is interesting, but truly not worth $10k more than they should be asking for a car without a clean title. The car I purchased has all those options except for the B&O system (yeah that would be nice) and the splitview (which I don't really need). I paid 1/2 of that for a car with 100k miles on it almost two years ago.

Not sure, why you would even consider this car? The price in my opinion is way too high and with the issues and problems it has, I would not trust that it was properly maintained throughout its life.
As already mentioned we definitely need to know the year of this vehicle, in order to judge it fairly.
I have recently purchased a 2007 S550 with extensive maintenance history from the local dealership. The car has a salvage title, but due to hail damage only!
After running a Carfax and having the car professionally inspected, there was no evidence of any airbag deployment or accident. Hail damage was professionally fixed and one can not tell anymore.
When I purchased my vehicle at 144K miles, all I paid was 8500 dollars.
There are plenty of W221 cars out there, I would keep on searching.

Thanks for the replies. I like it because it has the porcelain white interior with the adjustable reclining rear seats. They do have full service records and the interior does look almost brand new.

If you like it that much, I would tell them to have all the issues taken care off and the body work done, and once she is all clean and everything functions, you may be ok with the 25K.

you found a fully optioned car, w a very rare interior and sport package, the accident def lowers its value and the miles arent low. However finding another one w those options will prb be impossible. I traded my 2010 p2 w amg package and 20" whels last yr at benz dealer w 49k miles and got 24.5 and the body was flawless and diamond white on blk.

I like it a lot but do you think it's a fair price. I was aiming at around $22k.

I’d try to get it for around $23-24k. It’s a very rare option package. B&O sound with designo interior is extremely hard to find. So if it’s the car you like, try to get a good deal.
Also, DO NOT BUY AN S400. The hybrid is very unreliable and the battery replacement is like $36,000. Plus like zero Indy’s and most dealers can’t fix it.

Not to answer for S70, but mine has 144k miles as well. I've put 34k of those on the car since March of 2017, it just loves to be driven!

all nice cars but price wise we cant compare a 12 with under 75k to a pre facelift with over 100k. There just not in the same league. That said a designo to anyone that knows will always command a premium..especially to a seller that paid alot for it..at the dealer sometimes adds nothing. Looks like from the small pic u posted u have new michelins on the car.. so that will def add some value. Body damage to me is always a killer bc I highly value a car on the body and paint and Im also ocd on it, so if theres damage I usually dont want it. i would also have a body shop give you an estimate on how much it would cost to fix the damage so you know what the car will really cost you.

I for myself am more than happy with NOT having a face lifted car and some of the additional extras/packages, but with an additional 15K PLUS in my pocket.
BUT, ....... to each their own!!!!!!!

Why should I be worried? I think of it this way:
1.) As I paid considerably less for this high mileage vehicle in excellent condition, compared to a newer low miler, there is obviously some money available in case it needs any repairs. I much rather purchase an older used vehicle, which has been taken care of, rather than a newer, overpriced vehicle, which obviously has some body damages and some electronics are not properly functioning. Everything did work, and still works on my car.
2.) We have obviously all seen a Craigslist posting off an S550 with over 400k miles. Obviously they do last if taken care of. I agree with the statement made by dlafever, my car as well loves to be driven and runs very well, no problems.
3.) Coming from Germany, I know how cars are driven over there on the Autobahn with no speed limit. The S550 was designed as a long-distance Autobahn Cruiser, so one can only imagine how many times these cars are running close to the red line. Here in the States, these cars are driven much easier, then they are in Germany. With that said, this V8 engine should last at least another hundred thousand miles, before having major issues. I think any car will last a long time, if properly maintained and always paid attention to if anything is needed. (At least here in CA, where we do not need to worry about rust).
So no, for the price I paid for this awesome vehicle, I am not worried at all. And in worst case, if anything major happens, I would get rid of the car and would not need to worry much based on the original investment. (But lets hope this will never happen).
