MERCEDES S-CLASS W221 2013 (2007-2013)
AirStrut Suspension W221 both front left and right
Hello I have one S-Class W221 model early 2013 (2007-2012) and my MOT showed the front suspension 35% both right and left, part number A2213209313, so these should need replacement but are extremely expensive from Mercedes Office in Cyprus. What is your opinion for recondition air suspension or others brand new made from China (Ali Express) where prices are very approachable. Has anyone tried those or do you know if in other Countries like Belgium or Germany are cheaper so could shedule a trip to go and buy? Or do you know any site to buy in reasonable prices?

Don't buy the cheap Chinese clone struts.. they are garbage
I have had problems with RebuildMasterTech also (3 out of 3 struts I ordered from them were bad!)
Have 8 struts from Arnott on my W164 and W221 (the 4 on the W164 have over 120,000km on them!) and not a problem at all.
Buy a set of Arnott struts and install them.. far cheaper than MB and the quality is exactly the same.

You can only buy them from Arnott.com or look up the part # at Arnott and buy from Rockauto.com
Not sure if either ships to Cyprus
You may want to try one of the US shopping / forwarding services like myusor myusaddress or skybox or borderlinx (not recommending any, I haven't tried them.. so search for a good one). They will receive the product and ship to Cyprus for a fee. Some will even use their own credit card and you reimburse them (in case the vendor doesn't accept international cards from your country)
Arnott will be much cheaper..I bought a set of front struts for a 2007 4Matic S550 and paid just under US$1000 including shipping. So you are looking at somewhere around 850EUR for both, plus shipping costs to Cyprus.

New is better and not much more expensive
For rebuilt, you'll have to send back your old struts to get your deposit back ($$$$ in shipping costs!)
New are more expensive but have no deposit. By the time you include shipping, new will probably end up cheaper
The new struts look just like brand new ones from MB. I would go new.

Remove the "A" at the beginning of the part number and look up on the Arnott site. Then use that Arnott # on the Rock Auto site.
AS-2820 is new and 2540 is rebuilt. You can then use these numbers to look up the part at RockAuto

I put a postal code for Nicosia (Cyprus) into the RockAuto shipping calculator and it came up with these options for 2 struts: (all shipping costs are in USD)
Consider using Express as it is much faster than the consolidated economy option. $93US for two struts to Cyprus in 3-4 days isn't bad at all!

- Economy Mail (Consolidated) (8 to 14 business days) - $90.99
- International Express (3 to 4 business days) - $92.99
- Priority Mail Express (1 to 5 business days) - $143.99

I have used them for the last 10 years and No issues at all. Good Company, I don't work or have any affiliations with them. Some of my car buddies use them as well.

I have ordered nowhere else but rockauto. I also ordered one of my airstruts for the w221 from rockauto. I Paid $600 for one then send the old unit back (use the same box the new unit came back) and I believe I received $150-$200 credit back.
It was the cheapest place I could find and the arnott new strut works just like the OEM.
