2007 SL550 & 2012 S550 4matic
I have a 2012 s550 4Matic, 99k miles. Replaced 2 Motor mounts and transmission mount for $1600 by Indy. Got quotes over $2K from other Indy's. If you don't have 4M then should be a lot less. My guy had to disassemble a fair amount of the undercarriage crossbeams, steering linkage, etc. to get at the mounts, then an alignment job. Do you have vibrations at idle and up to 1600 RPM when underway? This was the symptom I had that told me they needed to be replaced. Same for my 2007 SL, had the mounts replaced and no more vibrations, just like brand new now.

Did my own, 2 motor mounts and 1 rear trans mount, for under $200 in less than 4 hours. You need to buy a special offset tool, $25 from Amazon, to loosen the engine mounts and a jack to lift the engine a bit to take out the mounts. After getting them installed the car was so quiet, I now can't even hear or feel the engine when i'm at a stop light, amazing!
