Does anyone have a Jack Pad Adapter from Reverse Logic?
Hi guys,
Like the title says, does anyone have any of the jack pad adapters from reverse logic that would like to sell? I tried buying it from the website but they are out of stock. Thank you in advance!
I'm not sure if what you're looking are the same as my SL, but if they are you can find them on Amazon....
I don't know if the SL has the same jack pad since there is few different ones for different models. I did try few of the aluminum ones from Amazon and they are no good. They are way too long and too narrow. Very wobbly and plain dangerous since they do not fit right. Below is the latest one that I just received from amazon which is still not good....

Yes sir, Mercedes offers different types of jack pads hence some fit and some don't....

I too have been perplexed about how to jack up the car with the built-in pads which are installed for the trunk jack. I took the, dumb I know it, approach and used the trunk jack many times. Well, the jack points are a rubber-plastic composite and on my 14 year old car, they were less than optimal shall we say....
My luck eventually ran out and I cracked the two front ones.
That's new ones at the top of the pic and the failed units at the bottom-- Note, how the originals failed. Not well, to say the least...
I've never been under the car with just the trunk jack and, luckily, I had jack stands in place.
So, first dilemma was replacing the factory installed jack supports affixed to the car. These are attached through a plug or screw that goes into the frame and are replaceable. See previous pic.
I had a hard time finding which ones work (the ones permanently affixed to the frame) but found out this part number works:
The part number 2219980050 was replaced by 1646900509. Either will work. Hell, you can find them at Walmart-- although, I found none in stock... I got four of them for twenty bucks on eBay.
So, then came the decision on what to do about jack pads to use with the built-in jack supports? I know it's kind of Rube Goldberg but I made this from some scrap that was laying around.
If you look at the permanent jack supports, you'll see they are a very odd shape. Since I only made one adapter I can only use it one at a time. While I was searching for replacement jack supports attached to the car, I came across something I haven't seen before. An electric scissor jack. Couldn't help myself so bought one for about 60 bucks. It's pretty cool but I wouldn't get under the car with just that. Jack stands are still a must. Here's a look at the electric jack in action with my adapter:
Speaking of jack stands, the question I've always had is, where do you put them. I've been using the inboard attachment point to the frame for the lower control arm. Has worked fine including when the 14 year old Factory jack point failed. (No pic of where to put the jack stand, sorry.) Hope this helps...

I spoke to the owner of the reverse logic ( Fred, great guy by the way) and purchased two of the blocks that actually go inside the jack support. He only had the blocks and not the discs that attach to the bottom of them. It is disappointed to see on how he can not offer them as a set anymore since from what I understand, his product was an exact fit for our cars. I guess the machine shop that he dealt with, has choosen to go in a different direction at this point. Anyhow, being a true gentleman he also guided me to a different website to purchase the aluminum discs from. Kind of similar to his offering. So now I am waiting for the parts to come in and then put them together somehow lol
I also reached out to the above company that @mikekerr posted and waiting to hear back since as now I know, one size does not fit them all. Either way, once I have a final product, I will update the thread here and post some pics 👍
Yes, I have the jack adapter for the stock ones and it didn't work very well and so I decided to go with the ones from the W220. They plug right into the same hole as the rectangular ones.

I should be getting all the parts that I ordered in the next couple of days and see how they work out with the existing jack pads. If not, I may go your route....
Interesting.... This may seem like a mundane discussion but, if you're ever going to do any work under your car, you'll find the info provided by the contributors is pretty useful...
Here's a few more observations:
Phil, I was wondering if the 220 supports would work. Thanks for the intel. I considered using the 221 jack supports and just sawing them flat! However, doing that or using the 220 supports will render the trunk jack useless. I'm guessing the 220 uses a scissor jack. The 221 trunk jack is pretty good:
Note the "plumb-line" reference. The jack shown in the pic is incorrect, in that, the base is curved to keep it vertical to the ground-- some German engineer did that. That seems like a minor point but, not keeping it vertical, increases the likelihood of it rolling off-- ask me how I know...
My long-winded point is: the car pivots as raised from one side. With a floor jack (on rollers), the jack will stay under the weight of the car and, the trunk jack is designed to do the same with the curved base-- to a point... A scissor jack does not. So, the flat points-- as the 220 has, and my adapter has-- work best with an all-four lift or on a rolling floor jack. A scissor jack needs to be repositioned every so many inches... Lift too high and the weight of the car is no longer under the jack and OUCH!
Sorry for the long diatribe... I went from using a floor jack (with wooden blocks), to the trunk jack and, lately, to the electric scissor jack. I find none satisfactory but I don't have a lift so, make do with what I have. Six years later and some close calls, I'm still figuring it out.
Final tip, don't forget to raise the car before you turn it off-- saves 1" of jacking. And set the e-brake...
And, as mentioned in the previous reply, I've been using the inside pivot on the lower control arm for the jack stands. I'm not sure that is especially good for the bushings but the cupped edge of the jack stand seems fit very nicely there. Has anyone found a better spot? And, what about the rear??? Haven't gone there yet... I'll add, for anyone doing this for the first time... Damn, this car is heavy!!! It ain't no 911!!!
This is a real good thread and well worth discussion and sharing thoughts.
I bit the bullet yesterday and ordered the following product: Rennstand from SAFEJACK. I possible have a lot of time to spend on the front end of my W221s that requires the tires off the ground, from drain cleaning to speed sensor replacement. I don't have a lift available. Having a way to keep the car off the ground with confidence and ease is paramount.
The Rennstands are on back order. Found none available new or used on Ebay, Amazon, etc. The Rennstands seem to be the jack stand of choice for many Tesla owners.
I never used the jack in the trunk. I bought a 2.5 ton Husky low profile jack which I keep in the trunk and is what I use in case I'm away from home. When I'm home I use one of those 3 ton low profile Pittsburgh jacks from Harbor Freight with a set of jack stands. Those Safe Jack stands sure look nice.

Below is a pic of all the parts that I was able to get from different sources. Will be dropping them to the machine shop sometime this week to have them put together. I bought two sets and most likely will sell a set. If anyone is interested, drop me a PM.
