Question Lumbar Support Pump Pressure?

Hello all, after searching the forum regarding why my lumbar support and headrest retract button does not work, I fixed three broken air lines I found (two at the back of the front seats and one under the driver's seat). That did not fix the problem. I decided to check the pressure from the lumbar pump. The air pressure coming from the right connector was very faint, hardly enough to move a piece of paper. Is this normal, or is my pump defective? Thanks for the help.

open the black box - its a little pump that might be serviceable - check ebay for parts

those crazy white connectors pop off - but you need more than two hands - lever up / apart each finger

I have been meaning to get back to my seat/massage project. Does anyone know the routing of I think the green line that goes from the pump in the rear to the front seat/s? Under the carpet up the middle, or routed along the side?

I took your advice and opened the black box, cleaned up internals and retested. It now appears to rotate at a higher RPM with a slight pressure output improvement. This did not fix my issues.

I had to remove the rear seat to fix a broken air line at the left C-Piller. I noticed a 'Y' connector, with another air line appears to be headed towards the headrests 🤔.

I wonder is someone has a routing diagram of the airlines? Or could direct me to where in Xentry I could find it?

If I remember correctly there are two lines, green and red, going from the pump. I believe these are the air supply lines for each front seat.

If you look under the seat in the front part of it there is an air connector for the seat. The air supply comes to that point under the carpet and from there to the control box with the tube that is part of the seat.

A couple of weeks ago I found the passenger seat tube broken and as I spliced new part of tube to it the tube just fell apart in my hands. I was able to splice but knew the whole tube is bad and as the seat controls stopped again last week I knew already what to do.

This work I did yesterday, i.e., I got the 1/4” tube from Autozone again and ran it from the end of the tube segment I installed two weeks ago to the connection under the seat. I used Orbit irrigation system barbed connectors. But this was only a part of the fix.

The other part was to replace the Y- connector in the back of the driver’s seat. This connector hangs on the tubes and obviously vibration cause the seals to develop leaks. These leaks are difficult to find as you cannot hear them unless you put your ear right against the connectors.

The job still for me to do is to replace the air supply to the driver’s seat as I’m sure it will be the next problem (hopefully is as it is easy fix).

Look at thread “Multicontour seat” where I explained the job a couple weeks ago.
