2014 S-class
...My dad has traded in his S Class every year for the last 15 years now...
For practical reasons it makes the most sense to wait until early 2014 to get better deals and cars with all available options.
IMO, neither the 9G tranny or some HUD will be deal killers or reasons to wait on these leases. New options will always come with new model years. I expect very little "lease/buyers remorse" from the typical S-Class buyer.

Depending how aggressive MB wants to have their 2013 numbers look like, they may also have have some good year end deals, but those will be likely early fall cars (RWD, no sport package, etc.)

MB also many times has great incentives to break a lease to get a new MB. My last lease was for 24 months and they had an incentive that if you get a new S-class they would waive up to 5 months of payments so you could get out early.

I wanna sleep in those backseats with those plush pillows/blanket!
Also, on that aerial pic, it looks like the aluminum window trim is two pieces after all? A top piece and which ends "on top of" the bottom piece. Is that just an optical illusion?
