Afternoon with the new S-class
My local dealer (Bill Ussery Motors of Coral Gables) which has serviced our family for over forty years called me this afternoon to preview the new S-class! OMG!!!! SICK!!!!! Another level!!!! I have photos which I will post later tonight.

As a forth gen S-class consumer this is an incredible day!!!! I was (am) a big fan of the last S… In fact my 2007 delivery was an incredible day for me that still resonates in my memory. Note- they have taken the "Sporty Sexy" out of the car and have gone full elegant sophistication!!!!! Mulsanne/Ghost realm!!!!! First of all… it is huge!!!! and it is beautiful!!!!!!! The fit and finish is incredible and that interior is another level!!! While i did want a little youthful sport (like the CLS) I do get what they have done with the flagship!!!

A little beamer-ish! But with the sport package it is Super hot!!! Note- In order to get to that price point they left a lot of things out!!!

echo your comments . the standard burmeister sound system indescribably better than last years premium b&o....if you want a large premium sedan, can't think of anything else that comes close....and it is much more imposing in actuality than the pictures convey, though in an elegantly understated way.

but its very well done!!!! they are focusing on the youth on that level and super lux with the flagship!!! there is no comparison to the S!!!! My daughter was considering it but is choosing a GLK… go figure

Mercedes in my opinion has outdone the previous model completely with 2014 s. Which had to be extremely hard to accomplish. This car stands in a class of its own. BMW Audi and Lexus are not in it's class and that has been further emphasized with the 14.

Just drove that thing,dealer threw me the keys and told to enjoy it.
Amazing what they did.....
Drives,feels and sounds like a new RR Ghost,very,very similar in all points,a tiny bit less acceleration,maybe....
Excellent fit and finish,the quality of the interior closer to Maybach then the previous S-Class.
I don't think there is any other car below $250k that could touch it comfort wise.

also had about 45 minutes of seat time today because I couldn't wait until tomorrow haha....
the car is incredible in so many ways..........and looks amazing in person too.......
I rode in the back while the dealer drove, then I got to drive it quite a ways....
such a dream car!
it really makes my cls look like a coupe too haha, this is huge, but does not seem so from inside....
the cabin is LONG, very long!

Sat in but did not drive one today. The most beautiful and comfortable car EVER. The exterior is not shocking. Understated but elegant. Less stodgy than the W211. Will go back for a drive next week ( it was in show room for a CLA event).

haha, sorry man, here are some mellow shots 
the sound system is really nice too, hard to imagine upgrading the sound, but I know a lot of folks are really into that kind of modding
