Keep wheels brake dust free?(Applies to both S63 and S550)

Is there any tech that stops dust from sticking to the wheels. Both cars are terrible at this and even after a days driving I have truck loads of brake dust to deal with.

What about that Nano tech that reples water dust and any thing else?

Replace your pads with an aftermarket pad... Not sure if Akebono has a pad for this car yet or not...

Go with a ceramic pad. You will never have a dust problem again.

My W222 makes barely any brake dust whatsoever. Do other W222 owners have a problem with brake dust? I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed this car doesn't make nearly a quarter of brake dust of what my W221 used to make.

I replaced my W221 pads with Akebono and R1Concepts rotors, but they squeal like crazy.

My W222 makes the least amount of brake dust of any German car that I've owned (without ceramics). You can use the Armour All wheel spray that helps keep dust off, but this car is pretty good in this regard.

I would say go with a coating on the wheels and get Sonax Wheel Effects wheel cleaner .

Have to agree, really a fraction of the brake dust of my 221. Don't even think I need to go with Akebonos now.
Plus, brakes and tires seem to be wearing a lot better too. Thank you MB...

I think the amount of brake dust people are seeing on the W222 vs W221 could have something to do with the design of the particular wheels on each car...maybe the particular angles of some faces/facets are more or less dust-prone. I feel brake dust on my W222 is worse than what I had on the W221. 18s on both.

My car is horrible with brake dust. Within 50 miles of cleaning they are already noticeably dirty. I've checked porterfield and Akebono and neither lists a pad yet.

I applied the wheel wax I got at my MB dealer when the wheels were new, and it's easy to get off the dust compared to my old SL that didn't have the wax. But it doesn't magically prevent new dust from dirtying the wheels quickly. CCBs are really the only alternative.

Not sure why they would squeal. I use OEM rotors on my E55 but I absolutely love my Akebono pads... Very good wear life and no dust... No squeal...
