Leftover '15 Discounts For In Stock Vehicles

I recently got a C class for my daughter, who needed me to cosign. Because I did not want to be on the lease, and take on the responsibility of any accidents, I was able to secure a one payment lease for 27 months.
That seemed to make sense for me. It was actually pretty cheap.

Aren't you still "on" the one pay lease thus still potentially liable if she gets into an accident
Or did you just tx money into her account, and let her pay it directly ... but then, how did she quality for the lease to begin with

As a result of this structure, I have no connection to this lease, and thus, no liability.

Here is Edmund's terms for September:
36/10 lease numbers on the 2015 S550 are .00051 and 51%.
For the 2016, it's .00107 and 52%.
#s on a 2015 Escalade are 0.0013 and 51% ~90K vehicle so a tad south of S class realm but not far

Personally, I think the '15 models will be discounted more than other model years because dealers loaded up on inventory too heavily after the great '14 sales cycle.
Don't expect to see a flood of '16 models at the same time next year...
That said, I think dealers will wait until the winter-events to discount more to close the deal on the average MB buyers.
I do not agree with your conclusion.
Every deal and situation is different.
But I wanted to give some perspective.
How many cars have you purchased from your MB dealer in the past? I have purchased two new S Class cars and a E class from this dealer in the past two years. I also have been purchasing cars from this dealer regularly over the past 20 years.
I would conclude that 15% off is a pretty good deal on a '15 S Class but again every situation and deal is going to be different.

I disagree with your conclusion and for the exact reasons I stated above. Therefore 15% is not that great right now and as I and others have stated 20% would be more like it for all the aforementioned reasons. In addition I have bought many new MB's from this dealer over the last two decades.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this thread, 15-18% was the target for a strong deal at the time, and 20 up to even 25% for Dec.

I.e. No risk

I personally don't think 25% is in the cards unless it's some undesirable high-mileage dealer demo. Discounts like that I have only seen during a model change (like leftover W221's), not during a first mid-cycle.
Getting one in Dec. will be your best bet. I hope your get the spec you are looking for!

With that said, with a MF of 0.00051 why bother to put money down? Savings equal the price of a dinner...

I've known the 20%+ would be possible in Dec for the SE and NE regions and did not expect to get that now; I believe I've previously stated ~15 now (Sept) and 20%+ y/e (see post #3). Depending upon how long the dealer has been been sitting on the car negatively affecting his floor plan, color, options (and mileage as you state) will also matter. MB's trunk money (conquest, performance bonus etc.) should be substantially stronger by year end with monthly upticks happening soon. Not many are aware these kinds of discounts can be had, hence the varying discount projections here. Good news is, the internet and excellent forums like these can help spread the word. As they used to say: Power to the People.
