Thought this day would never come.....
I ordered a 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S fully loaded and I will not be a Mercedes S Class owner. Deposit Made July 15. Figure another month.
I will still be around the forum as I met a lot of really nice folks here and many I call friends on here, and in person!
Sapphire Blue Exterior
Bordeaux / Black Leather Interior
All the goodies! I'll post pics of the actual car when it arrives!

I recently drove a Turbo S in same exterior color, beautiful car and fun to drive, not so good DD for me as I'm on the freeways 90% of the time, if I lived in the right area I'd probably get one as a weekend car
A month. So many options - nothing is standard. Sunroof, Leather interior, etc. Nothing is standard.
Base Price for a 4S is $110k. Mine is $140k and the options are not like for my own vanity.
Automatic PDK Transmission is $3200. Sunroof is $2000. Leather in Red/Black interior is $4800. More than $10k right there. UNREAL...

this is one slow **** board haha

Haven't driven the new turbo engines, but how do they compare to the previous NA s and 4s model?
Btw, when you say it's fully loaded, did you get every leather option like the leather clad steering column, leather air vents, etc? Burmester?

And regarding the fully loaded- I thought once you checked every option box Porsche opens a new secret level of all new options just to mess with your head.

Congrats on your purchase.
You are absolutely going to love this car, and you are really going to have fun driving it. I have looked at these cars for years and never pulled the trigger.
I am glad you did and very happy for you!
I tried building one and you are so right about the options and how to configure the car. So many choices but I am sure you had fun and with your superior taste in fashion, I know this car will be perfect in every detail.
Again, congrats and can't wait to see the pictures!

I will definitely be on the forum though here to keep in touch with my friends, including you.
I am very excited for this car - going to be quite the trip!
Curious to see how rear wheel steering makes the drive more precise. And the kid in me wants to try Launch Control after the break in period.

Are you thinking of another Aston?

For me, maybe another Aston, maybe a Porsche.

Porsche made a commercial several years back which 100% sums it up.

OR, what I expected to see, was as the kid stepped out of the car, he became a young man, the salesman had aged, the car was a newer model and the young man says I'll take it."
In 1973, I ordered a new 911T Targa from Vasek Polak Porsche in Hermosa Beach, CA. It was to be Sepia Brown with Cork (saddle tan) interior. But that year, the dollar had three major tumbles against the D-Mark and the car went from around $7,000, to $7,800.00, to $8,400.00 and then to $9,300.00 before it ever arrived. I was stretching at $7K, so I had to cancel the order and never got a new Porsche until 1989. My last one was a 2009 Carrera coupe with a six speed manual. It was fun, but my 2004 SL500 sat in the garage next to it and I drove the SL more, so I sent the Carrera down the road. Currently I am lusting after a new Targa, but not sure that's what I want yet.
This one is called Class Reunion. Watch it - and you'll all remember your friends as kids - some long gone - some you still keep in touch with - your favorite teacher - etc.
Enjoy! Let me know your thoughts.

I always wanted a 911 Turbo (s) but when I was a kid - the car was $75k. Now its $175K. With options, it runs about a million. lol
