Seat Memory Gone, seat not rolling back

I was just coming back into car from Post Office and the seat and wheel didn't retreat back to normal position after I started the car. I pushed the #1 memory button and nothing happened. I had to manually put things back to normal. Just went out and reset up everything and check to show the egress was in the both seat and wheel retreat, but seat doesn't move only wheel. Odd anybody ever seen something like this happen?

Mine has Done that also. Sometimes the car thinks the seat is already too far back and will not move on exit or entry. What has worked for me is nudge the seat closer and set the memory and try the exit. If that doesn't work, keep nudging it until it does move. You shouldn't have to move it up more than an inch to get it to work again.

Thanks for the quick reply I will try this on my next drive and report back. Funny my 97' Q45 worked flawlessly from day 1 until final day I sold it but everything else in the Benz is superior.

It could be that your batteries are starting to go bad and need replacement.

You mean the 12V battery or the battery in the remote? I just put in a new battery in the remote a few months ago when I was having the car serviced, not sure if the CPO included a new battery or not for 12v.

So the one strange issue that I have had with my Maybach is if the passenger seat headrest is all the way up the memory function will not work (except the air bladders will) and will set a code. When it is put down all works well again. I took the car to the dealer and to my surprise they could not make up anything to do with the code. I did swap out the headrest from a different Maybach that was there and all worked perfectly. I would disassemble the headrest myself and probably find some hair or something in there interrupting the sensor but I have not figured out how to take the back off the headrest.

so perhaps lower your headrest and see if it all works again.

So I have tried it a number of times now, I have tried every combination of this and still when I turn off ignition and open the door the steering wheel moves up but seats stays put. I went into the settings and turned it off, turned it to steering wheel only and then back to both, I cannot get the seat to move back at all. It all started with Memory 1 button losing the stored profile funny seat memory 2 wasn't effected and is still programmed to the previous owner.

I think this may need to have a service advisor take a look, I am still in warranty

No, the batteries in your trunk. Strange things like you're experiencing happen when they can no longer maintain a good charge.

If you have a 2014-2017, there are 2 in the trunk. A large full size battery in the spot where a wheel might go. And then a smaller battery on the right near the wheel arch.

Thanks for the responses, I talked to MB customer service on Friday and something is messed up in the electronics, I have to take it into the service center to have a look at it.
