Armor All Brake Dust repellent is LEGIT
Like everyone else I have been dealing with heavy brake dust in my W222, much worse than anything I experienced with my previous Lexus cars. I have been considering changing pads, etc. I tried this Armor All Brake Dust repellant and it works astonishingly well.
! washed the car and tried it out on my trip to WV for the 4th of July. Now, normally on this trip the front wheels would be BLACK with brake dust. With this product, they look no different than the rear wheels. Truly amazing!
This is the car parked at my brothers right before I left to come home yesterday. This is after a 360 mile highway trip and probably 60 miles of back country driving with heavy braking. Normally the front wheels would be noticeably black compared to the rears after one normal days driving. Really amazing. Home now after the 360 mile drive back and it looks exactly the same. You can see a couple places up close where I missed applying the product and those areas are black. I will get close ups of that later today.

Here's the closeup of where I didnt get good coverage with the spray, the whole wheel would have been that black. This is after the return trip so this is 800 miles:

Its an aerosol, you just spray it onto clean wheels and walk away. They say to use tire shine before applying it. I use tire shine on my tires so that result is with it being used also.

Great stuff. I bought several cans just before the Covid outbreak but then it became impossible to find. Is it available now?

I've been using it for about a year based on someone's recommendation on MBWorld and have found it to work very well. It does require periodic respraying after a couple of washes but it is easy to apply. Just spray.

Well worth $28 a can. One of those things I never would have expected would work. I've paid $28 for lots of other far less effective products.

I don't think those products are the same. Just using a normal sealant won't have this effect. I have used many wheel sealants and spray sealants and my wheels are ceramic coated, none of those products produced this effect or stopped the buildup of brake dust on the wheels, but they did make it easier to clean off. Theres something about this product that repels brake dust. Those top products sound similar, but if they think that Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray is similar to the top 2 then that calls it into question for me because that product I have used and it does not create this effect.
It's a repeller alright as I echo your experience .
I've been using it on the old boys Hyundai front alloys , the genuine pads are horrific and the result now is the fronts match the untreated rears .
He's just had a front pad change to Ferodo Eco Friction that has a ceramic content so when bedded will see how good they really are .

That's steep for a can: can't believe the price gouge! I do wonder what it would do long term to the actual wheel/material especially if it's just left on. Pretty tempting though.

I don't see how its any different than any other wheel or paint coating or sealant you would put on the wheels. It wears off over time.

I'm going to have to try the AA product. I don't notice the dust as much everyday around town, but two weekends ago we went to a wedding in the mountains north of Asheville, NC. Wedding was far enough north of Asheville that Waze took me off I-40 at Newport, TN and across the old Dixie Highway, a two lane road through the mountains, to Mars Hill, NC and I-26, then north. Not much traffic, but a winding road. Wheels were charcoal color upon arrival.
