Pls help! Rear seat belt plastic guide ring collar broke in two and stuck in hole

Hi all,

I tried to replace a broken rear seat belt guide ring collar, but I turned it the wrong way and it snapped into two. The lower half of this plastic collar is currently stucked in the hole (as shown in pic below) and I have absolutely no idea how to get it out.

Any suggestions pls?

Glue, super glue, carefully.

Yes, you have the piece that matches so the easiest thing is to glue it back in, you can also glue a random rod to it.
Gel presentation superglue.

JB Weld is much stronger than Super Glue. You may want to put a ring of JB Weld on the broken piece, plus a few dots of Super Glue (not on top of the JBW) since that sets up quickly. After 24 hours it should be stronger than before it was broken.

He is not looking to repair, the piece is already broken somewhere else, he just needs to get it out without dissambling the seat (which is not too bad but will take a couple of hours).

I need to replace the same piece on my rear seat. The old piece seems to be mounted pretty tight. Is there a technique to removing it?

Happened to me but be careful not to glue your fingers crossed! LOL. Mine was covered under warranty and the MB dealership replaced it for me.

Even if this is true, the JB Weld/Super Glue trick will work after the JB Weld has been set up for 24 hours. He can then push and twist the piece out of there.
