Would i be able to verify if mine isn't equipped with massage by looking at the build sheet?

My GM said most 21’s and even 22’s will likely lack Multi-Contour seats due to the chip shortage.

I declined delivery. Dealership trying to find me another vehicle. Any suggestions?
Your only real option is to try and order a 2022.
I can't imagine a dealer would trade a car with the massaging seats.

  • ENERGIZING kinetics for front seats
  • Active multicontour front seats with massage

Just read it, very nice! Would you say the fit and finish is the same as the 222?

Not mine but this is what it would look like on the window sticker. Luckily my build sheet doesn't show the missing feature.

I would. I noticed no creaks or rattles (even when applying pressure) and felt that the cabin was very structurally sound, especially the center console. Very impressed with the new interior.

My MSRP Sheet doesn't show any deletion or credit, I really like the Active seats, my E53 doesn't have them or offer, I'm guessing because it's a Cabriolet?

No idea. It's a great feature. I would be disappointed if mine didn't have it.

They need to state "Active" for the bolsters to hug you on turns.

Did you have a MSRP Sheet prior to delivery? If so, was it deleted on the original and then a new MSRP Sheet created showing the deletion from the VPC?

I just looked up the other Mercedes dealership in town, they received two 2021 S580 Sedans both have a credit for $1,700.00
SEE PASTED COPY OFF THEIR MSRP SHEET > fD8A D8A Credit for Missing Standard CREDITnt: Multi-Contour Front Seat $-1,700

Just looked up the other S580 in their inventory, two things missing:
D8A D8A Credit for Missing Standard CREDITnt: Multi-Contour Front Seat $-1,700
D8B D8B Credit for Missing Standard CREDITnt: Active Ambient Lighting $-790

So I guess Mercedes is making Frankenstein S Class vehicles, I wonder if four wheels will be on the car?

I looked up their other 2021 S Class cars in inventory (SHOWING IN TRANSIT), there is no credit on their MSRP Sheets. So, either these cars are not affected or my guess is the people at the VPC are printing new MSRP Sheets showing the deletions once released to a trucking company?
First you order the car with some options questionable, now some standard equipment features are questionable?

Since you picked up your car does it show a credit for $1,700.00 Multi-Contour Seat Deletion?

Received email from MB Escondido.

"The S-Class Has Arrived To MB Escondido"

The wait is over. We are excited to announce the new redesigned 2021 MB S class has arrived to our location at MB Escondido.

Only prob is I am on the East Coast at the moment. Dealer here told me they have 8 cars in stock in total. Not 8 S class but just 8 cars in total it looked like a closed dealership.

I had a build sheet. First invoice I received yesterday 7/20 was the first time anyone knew of this.

Update 7/21
Dealer offered me several other s classes but all had warmth and comfort and heated steering wheel options and they were black cars. I live in South Florida so didn’t make sense.
I’m going to take the car with the deleted massage seats because my other options are limited.
Very disappointed.

I went on a few dealer sites across the US, you are not alone! Until mine is released from the VPC mine may be affected as well? I've had my dealer run a couple of MSRP Sheets in the last 5 months, all show no credit but that may change once released to shipping from VPC?

Man, I’d go ballistic if they removed the Active Ambient Lighting!! One of the highlights of the new S.
