Mercedesmax, please confirm this. Back in May, my dealer sent me an MSRP form that came from Mercedes-Benz USA, Sandy Springs, GA (shown at the top of the 3 page form). It also contains the dealer name and address, Dealer Code, Region, VPC, and the VIN and Purchase Order #, all at the top of the page. From there it has the vehicle model and color of the vehicle and interior. Then it has the headings “Code” and “Description” with all of the standard equipment listed in numerical order with description (432 Multi Contour Seats, 878 Active Ambient lighting). Following the long list of standard equipment is the list of options listed by code number with description and price. The last of 3 pages lists the transportation cost and total MSRP of the vehicle.
Ask the dealer to run this document for you as I believe it shows the standard equipment and optional equipment on your car as built. We need Mercedesmax to confirm.

My MSRP that the dealer send me a couple weeks ago shows no deletion or credits, so you think I'm safe and my buggy didn't get hit?

My salesperson sent me a new MSRP a few weeks ago, it was updated because my 20" AMG wheels dropped $200.00 to $750.00 instead of $950.00 on the original. There are no deletions or credits on that sheet? I'm just wondering (bear with me), cars are shipped missing chips, when they get to the VPC (Chips being shipped directly to the VPC's) the crew there installs the necessary chips, if short they just shelf one of the standard features change the MSRP so the car can be shipped and sold? That makes sense just not sure if my sense meets theirs?

Just got an e mail notifying me that mine is one that does not have the seats. Might just be a deal breaker…have to dwell on that a bit.
CB….I’ve assumed the wheels we discussed swapping are on the S580, correct? The S500 standard wheels are different.

Sonic, just like you I asked a question, MAX would be the one to answer! One would think they should, (GM Corvette), I had a convertible top on constraint, they ask if I wanted to wait or change colors, I changed the color, car was built my revised way! I guess Mercedes figures if the car you ordered you don't want, someone else will buy it?

Beyond annoying. I sold a car of mine last week in anticipation of taking delivery. I truly was depending on the many choices the massage feature offers…and in the past, I really liked the auto inflatable bolsters, especially while driving the winding canyon roads here in So. Ca.. I’m figuring on going back to my $200 weekly massages! Anything else missing, such as HUD or adaptive ambient lighting…and I’m gone. I ordered this vehicle in October of 2020….had a few build sheets sent to me along the way…no clue of this until today, a few days before delivery. No one from the dealership informed me of this. I had to reach out and inquire on my own. Wah, wah, wah…..but still, who buys a car such as this for mere transportation? The glory is in the details. I want my old car back!

And imagine buyers in the used car market unknowingly buying a car for a "standard" feature and later realizing it's not there.

Actually, I’m thinking that these early production cars will be known as ‘the ones that were ‘de-contented’ at the last second.” No way to sell this without taking a bit of a hit. Or…..a large hit.

Coral Gables Mercedes Benz is not communicating with customers about delivery dates for the 2021 S class vehicles. Friends were told maybe next week. I can't get any information about the S580 I ordered last December. Horrible debut for Mercedes. Considering not taking delivery of the S580, which was produced without the contour seats or active ambient lighting.

Salesperson just sent me a new MSRP, there are no deletions or credit issued, the only change was the $200.00 decrease for the 20" AMG wheels. The MSRP was $135,210.00, NOW $135,010.00, does that mean I'm safe and what I ordered is what I'll receive? Still hasn't been released from the VPC for shipping to the dealer?

I guess if you are buying a Maybach it doesn't matter but the two tone paint is a $14,000.00 option! The other dealer in Nashville is showing a S580 Maybach in inventory.
