Guess they'll just have to suck it then lol. Who has been selling cars longer than they have you know what I mean? I'm pretty sure they're not too worried.

I've been watching my dealers inventory, it seems the only cars they are getting is C Class, probably received 20+ over the last two months. I believe the C Class is made in the states?

MB is pretty much dumping their leftover W205's at dealers, my dealer just got about 12 C-Class', but GLE and GLS are non-existent, especially coupes, and 450, 53, and 63 models of the GLE/GLS are getting markups.

So, all these C Class cars were leftovers from Alabama before the stop make order? The reason I'm asking, that's all they appear to be receiving, one would think if they are getting C Class from Germany, they should be receiving other vehicles as well?

Old news. C Class production ended last year in AL.
All C sedans now come from S Africa.

A few days ago I asked if the delay experienced by many of you in receiving S class orders was applicable across the Mercedes line, at least those from Germany. At that time, my '21 CLS 450 was stuck in port waiting ship assignment. I ordered this thing over six months ago. The salesman called and said it was on a boat (Sirius Highway). It is scheduled to hit Baltimore to what I assume is the VPC. Does anyone know how long (under "normal" conditions) a Mercedes stays at VPC before shipping out to dealers? I live in Texas. I know this is S Class forum but no one knows much about this stuff at the CLS forum.

I'm not questioning the SUV craze, I know that answer. If dealers are getting a lot of C Class from Africa is this country driven. In one of my previous replies I asked why my dealer seemed to be getting nothing but C Class cars, I thought the answer was manufactured in Alabama, but that stopped?

I was wondering that too. I thought Texas bound vehicles were shipped to Georgia but the boat is bound for Baltimore, although I don't know how to tell if that is the final stop. It might continue to Georgia but the ship information and itinerary does not mention Georgia at all.

Sorry, I was just using leftover as in reference to the last of the W205's coming out since W206's are in production for Europe.

Shortspark, Sirius Hwy is scheduled to make port in Baltimore June 29, then Brunswick July 2 and Charleston July 4th before returning home. These Highway ships are all part of K Line Shipping, you can see their schedule online.
